Tom Holland's star power has been proven yet again this weekend with the release of Uncharted. Despite early projections that pointed to a $30 million debut over the President's Day weekend, the blockbuster is overperforming with an estimated $45 million haul at the North American box office.
Deadline notes that some analysts believe Uncharted could go as high as $50 million over the four-day period, meaning there's a strong chance the video game adaptation will launch another franchise for Holland. That's an impressive feat for an actor who is just 25-years-old.

Despite a 39% score on Rotten Tomatoes, audiences have responded positively to Uncharted, awarding it 88% on the review aggregator (it also received a solid B+ CinemaScore).
"The Uncharted games remain in a league of their own," we said in our recent review, "but this movie captures their essence and delivers a rip-roaring, swashbuckling adventure with heaps of unexpected twists, full-throttle action, and another standout performance from Tom Holland."

That isn't the only good box office news for Holland this weekend; Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to earn an amazing $9.1 million during its tenth weekend of release. That takes its total to $772.1 million, and regardless of whether those re-release rumours are correct, the trade is confident that the Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures blockbuster will end its run with $800 million.
