SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME's Rumored Digital Release Date Has Changed AGAIN

With fans eagerly anticipating being able to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home at home, we continue to hear conflicting reports about its Digital debut. Now, another date is doing the rounds on online stores.

While Target and other retailers have already listed Spider-Man: No Way Home on Blu-ray (we've even seen the covers!), the Sony Pictures blockbuster doesn't actually have a confirmed release date on physical formats. This is also the case with Digital; after a February 28 debut was initially reported, we recently heard that it might be coming at the beginning of March.

Both dates felt like potential placeholders, but the Microsoft Store app has now been updated with a listing that suggests Spider-Man: No Way Home will be available to buy on Tuesday, March 22.

That's a believable enough date, but with the threequel recently beating Avatar to become the third-highest grossing movie at the domestic box office, Sony likely wants to keep Spidey's latest adventure in theaters for as long as possible. We had anticipated a second stage to the marketing campaign that would have heavily featured the Spider-Man Variants, but there's been no sign.

While a handful of official images have been shared online, there's not a single frame of official footage of the trio swinging into action together; as a result, the only way to see the Spider-Men teaming up to battle all those Multiversal villains is by paying for a ticket to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home on the big screen! That's a smart approach that's clearly paid off at the box office.

"Spider-Man: No Way Home is the greatest Marvel movie ever made. Period," we said in our review last year. "As epic as it is emotional, this is not only a perfect blockbuster, but Spider-Man’s wildest, funniest, and most awe-inspiring adventure yet. It's a Marvel masterpiece."

How many times did you decide to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home on the big screen?

Stupid to keep it in theaters when you literally have hundreds of thousands of people ready to pay double / triple the price of a movie ticket for it (Blu-ray’s are still about 20-30 right?) just release the damn thing and let me get my steelbook
