Sony's Spider-Man Spin-Off SPIDER-MAN ORIGINS: AUNT MAY Movie Fan Cast and Story Idea!

Sony's Spider-Man Spin-Off SPIDER-MAN ORIGINS: AUNT MAY Movie Fan Cast and Story Idea!

I was absolutely astonished when I heard Sony was making an Aunt May film! But now I see how this could work storywise and there is plenty of room for expansion within the Spider-Man universe introduced in TASM, hit the jump for more and witness an idea that could potentially be a major game changer!

PLOT/STORY IDEA

The one difficult factor in all of this is the absence of Spider-Man in a Spider-Man film. So how in another way could you make a film with an idea like this as fun to watch and as exciting? Adding familiar characters and a familiar story with a twist is the answer to that question. I've been watching Gotham and that's when that ticked upon me. Gotham sets up Batman's own future rogue gallery so perfectly. Whether the actual villain is in place or the father of the villain or clues piecing together like a mind bending puzzle towards the villain. An Aunt May movie with a time period setting such as in the 50s or 60s could introduce not only familiar villains like the Gotham method but familiar characters we know from the Spider-Man universe. It can still focus on May's own character journey throughout the film but that doesn't mean she has to be the direct focus. Now is the part we face on deciding what May's own journey would be and how it will tie into the universe that has been first introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man. Take the new series Agent Carter as an example, the female spy espionage route. It has been done before yes but there is a way to take it into a different route. Uncle Ben (Ben Parker) could be used as the major catch for May to become a spy. With that in mind with his obvious inclusion you have Richard and Mary Parker who indeed become major players in all of this. Simple plot line: May finds out Ben Parker the man she loves is a spy and eventually gets dragged into his world of thrills and espionage. Add a mix of side characters and a good villain and you have a movie that potentially rivals Spider-Man's own in terms of excitability. A movie fans and an audience would want to see.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

Aunt May/May Parker (Preferred Actress Choice: Margot Robbie): Put yourself in these shoes, just a normal girl and then suddenly your life is turned upside down in the blink of an eye. That is the type emotional journey this character needs to have. It needs to build on her strengths and weaknesses and who she really is inside. The TASM films in my opinion have so far gotten the character wrong and simply using her as a side comic relief towards Peter Parker. She is much more than that which is what a movie such as this will explore. It will make Aunt May seem bold and strong. It will finally make Aunt May the badass character we have been waiting for in the TASM franchise. Even Aunt May in the Raimi films does much more work, she hit Doc Ock with an umbrella in Spider-Man 2! I don't recall Aunt May in the TASM films having any kick-ass moment like that. It's a shame yes having to use a younger May to explore these ideologies but it's still a worthy idea that can work with the right script and pace.

Uncle Ben/Ben Parker (Preferred Actor Choice: Benedict Cumberbatch): Uncle Ben will basically be the discount James Bond for the run time of this movie. He is like this awesome super spy and he kicks alot of butt.
______________________________

Richard Parker (Preferred Actor Choice: Tobey Maguire)
______________________________

Mary Parker (Preferred Actress Choice: Kirsten Dunst)
__________________________________

Norman Osborn (Preferred Actor Choice: James McAvoy): With the dissapointing lack of Norman Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a movie of a high concept such as this could make up for that by introducing a much younger version of this character and his origins. Mainly it will be nice to see the beginings of Oscorp's villainous ways and the man who started it all.
__________________________________

Gwen Stacy (Preferred Actress Choice: Emma Stone): Oh you might thinking to yourself, wait what!? No no am not talking about Gwen Stacy but Gwen Stacy's mother who could have also been named Gwen Stacy! So this would be the perfect role for Emma Stone to get back in seeing as she had a sudden demise way too soon. I could see this character being a former love interest to Ben Parker which would make this film all more interesting.
_______________________________________

The Chameleon (Preferred Actor Choice: Liam Neeson): The Chameleon is a totally awesome villain and he hasn't been given any love yet in the Spider-Man films! Seeing as a film like this might take place around the Cold War it would make sense to have another enemy spy in the midst such as this character.
________________________________

Captain George Stacy (Preferred Actor Choice: Shia LaBeouf): Well we already have had Dennis Leary play an older Captain Stacy so it would make sense to have a younger Captain Stacy introduced in a prequel film. He could serve partially as a hero and inspiration for the future to come in the Spider-Man universe.
_____________________________________

Roger Beck (Preferred Actor Choice: Orlando Bloom): Father of Quentin Beck who in the future will become the notorious Spider-Man villain Mysterio, Roger Beck started his beginnings much like his son as a street magician and a con artist working on the streets of New York. Am I making this character up? Maybe.
____________________________________

J. Jonah Jameson (Preffered Actor Choice: Ryan Gosling): Well this is pretty much a given seeing we have had a lack of some good ole J.Jonah in the current Spider-Man films. We can see the rise of the Daily Bugle as it forms to becoming a media empire and the man behind the news and the one who will hate Spider-Man in the coming future.
______________________________________

Betty Brant (Preffered Actress Choice: Emilia Clarke)
_______________________________

Robbie Robertson (Preffered Actor Choice: Michael B Jordan)
_______________________________

Doctor Octavius (Preferred Actor Choice: Christoph Waltz): Well we have seen a glimpse of Doc Ock's arms already in The Amazing Spider-Man so it would make sense he is already a prior established character within the universe and was a previously a villain. Which is why he would be the perfect villain for a film like this and would work great along the spy backdrop theme of a prequel in this style.
_________________________________

Bradley Brock (Prefered Actor Choice: Charlie Hunnam) and Daryl Kasady (Prefered Actor Choice: Norman Reedus): Bradley Brock who is the father of future Spider-Man villain Eddie Brock/Venom and Daryl Kasady who is the father of future Spider-Man villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage. Basically I have an idea that these characters Bradley and Daryl are two career criminal partners much in the vein of their sons and they basically are being hunted by Captain George Stacy like in the movie The Fugitive.
_________________________________________

Professor Miles Warren/Jackal (Prefered Actor Choice: Cillian Murphy) and Adrian Toomes (Prefered Actor Choice: Aaron Paul): They are basically two dedicated employs of Oscorp with Miles Warren being a mad scientist and Adrian Toomes is just some hired bodyguard for Norman Osborn

This almost justifies the movie getting made. If this were the cast, I'd be sure to see this opening day.

Fun read, honestly good read.

Shia deserves a second chance. He was great in Holes and Lawless. Lawless is such a bad ass film.
