SPIDER-MAN: New Details Leaked of What Marvel has Planned for a Solo Spider-Man Film

Seems Marvel is tired of the over-the-top romance and drama of the Sony installments and plans to wipe the slate clean if they were to make new Spider-Man films.

Details of Marvel's plan for a Spider-Man solo movie have been uncovered by Latino Review and later reiterated by Slash Films.

According to the report, Marvel was told about Sony's plan for a Female Spider movie which also included a potential spin-off of an Aunt May origin story, which Marvel "severely disliked".

With that reason, if the collaborative Sony deal were to happen, Marvel is looking to have "creative control over the character". This creative control entails "wiping the slate clean with Sony's Amazing Spider-Man universe". Any actors currently under contract with Sony's Spider-Man films will not be picked up to keep it far away from the Sony movies as possible, which likely may include not bringing back Andrew Garfield. Although another report is mentioning that Sony may have already fired Andrew Garfield just this past October.

One of the big changes Marvel has planned for their own solo Spider-Man film will be to take the focus "away from the romance and drama" which was very prominent on Marc Webb's installment. Marvel understands that the "romance has been played out over five installments already". Instead, the romance will only be a part of the whole film's side-story.

Sorry Mary Jane, the romance will no longer be the big focus of the Marvel led Spidey films.

Marvel's main plan is to bring the focus back as Spider-Man the superhero. Bringing the character back to his true roots: A teenager fighting to balance his dual life as a superhero - "issues that were brought to life well in the original 2004 Spider-Man 2 film".

Marvel also believes "Spider-Man's origin is well-trodden territory. Any new Spider-Man movie in this new deal would begin with Peter Parker already leading a dual life as Spider-Man". The report ends by stating "Spider-Man making his debut in Captain America: Civil War would have served as the character's introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe".

Can't deny the chemistry between Garfield and Stone, but ASM 2 was too much of them for my taste.

Oh please oh please let this happen. Spidey just fits with the MCU's sensibilities better than Sony's failed stab at the character.

I would have preferred Peter to be Married to MJ, but didn't that marriage get wiped out after the Civil War story or was it right before it? If there is to be another Spider-Man film, hopefully he won't be in school again. I want him working at the Daily Bugle.

Marc Webb did direct "500 Days of Summer" which explains the excessive romance of his Spidey movies.

The hackers who've leaked this info have to take it a step further before Sony would ever finally come to the table truly humbled and willing to negotiate. They would have to leak every tidbit of info regarding the next Sony/Spider-man production(because unfortunately, I don't think even with the current leaks, they're going to stop with their plans to continue to atrociously pick away at this character and property)from actual script(s) to Avi Arad's "input", right down the line to other associates/producers involved. Then finally do what was done to the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" film and leak it out to the masses before they're even done with post sfx.
Just make it the biggest Sony $#itfest they can from beginning to end.

Trolls will troll anyway but this shows how Marvel really loves their characters.
The reason they want Spidey back is because Sony is [frick]ing him up not just because they want the money (which is obviously another reason).

GIVE SPIDEY BACK TO MARVEL

This deal is most likely going to happen. We, the fans, should ensure this- anyone who has a twitter account tweet it to sony pictures if they have an an account, or start a hashtag or some shit like that( I don't use social media). Seriously, that stupid petition shit won't work, and maybe Marvel can get it done on their own but we can't take the chance. I mean, is there not anything we can do to help? Surely there is some God forsaken way to get this deal to happen other than just sitting here writing angry letters, of which they will NEVER read, to sony about how they're a bunch of greedy, corporate assholes. We seriously need to put on the pressure. If the deal happens, then I can legitimately accept death, that is how [frick]ing grand this deal is to me, and I imagine to to most of the fans on this site. When I was a little kid I never understood why none of the superheroes ever shared the same screen, and I obviously learned why as I matured, as well as accepted it, but now we are ALL in a position where we can finally get something we never thought possible. On a side note: I was an avid defender of the amazing series, but after all the things i had to suppress, ignore, and after reading the emails I'm done. I will boycott anything they put out even if they don't make the deal, that way Marvel could at least maybe get him later down the road, and without paying too!

Such a shame about Garfield, he was a pretty good Spidey, but he was poorly supported by shit scripts and generally phoned-in movie productions.

I'm hoping Fans extremely positive reaction to the news of Spidey possibly being under Marvel control will have the same affect that our reaction to the Deadpool test footage had. Meaning either Sony would relent our Disney would back up the Brinks truck and pay these people off. Garfield was a good Spidey he & Stone had great chemistry. But Marvel called follow the tone of Spider-Man 2 one of the greatest CBM ever. I just keep hoping & praying they could get Spidey back where he belongs.

Best thing to do is not pay to see a Sony made film. Don't give them your money $$$$ to keep making their crap.

If all these things are true. We pretty much have the power of what they do with Spidey now.

Pretty sure if the next movie doesn't do good, Sony will have to do something with Marvel.

Speak with your dollars people.
