AVENGERS ASSEMBLE And ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN Returning To Disney XD With New Titles

Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble will return to Disney XD in 2016, but they've been given very different titles and story directions thanks to the introduction of some fan-favourite villains.

Marvel has today released the first official details about 2016's Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man TV shows on Disney XD, and both sound a lot different thanks to some new titles; Ultimate Spider-Man Vs. Sinister Six and Avengers: Ultron Revolution. Could this be an indication of what we'll see in Spider-Man's upcomig Marvel Studios solo movie? Probably not, but it still sounds like it will be a fun season for fans of the character! Here are the official synopses for both shows:

In season four of "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6," a confident Spider-Man feels like the ultimate hero after fighting alongside The Avengers and leading a team of heroes at S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. However, when the wall-crawler discovers that his greatest enemies -- Doctor Octopus, Hydra and the all-new Sinister 6 -- are working together to destroy him and S.H.I.E.L.D., he teams up with a special new team of Spiders, including Miles Morales, Agent Venom, Iron Spider and the mysterious new Scarlet Spider. Spider-Man and his new friends will need to use all of their power to overcome their greatest challenge yet.

Avengers: Ultron Revolution meanwhile appears to be borrowing a lot from their upcoming Phase 3 slate as the likes of Baron Zemo, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel make their presence felt. It also appears as if the Kamala Khan version of Ms. Marvel will be making her animated debut here too.

In season three of “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution,” the Avengers are not only shocked by the return of a vengeful Ultron, but they also encounter new threats like Baron Zemo, the Masters of Evil, the Inhumans, and the futuristic Kang the Conqueror. It’s only with the help of heroes like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and Ms. Marvel that they have a chance of surviving an all-out Marvel super hero Civil War.

It's so [frick]ing odd.

Marvel has had 4 animated shows with Disney, with a 5th coming in GOTG, and they've all sucked except for EMH.

In the first Star Wars animated show Disney did, it rocked and was better than just about all of the Marvel shows and just as good as EMH.

They probably chose the Sinister Six title back when that movie was still in the works before the Marvel merger.

And LOL I'm ready for the inevitable griping from idiots and bigots who don't read comics about the new Ms. Marvel appearing in a TV show. "Propaganda!" or some such crap I'm sure they'll scream.

I actually enjoyed some of the new Avengers.

I still hate the animation tho.

I'm shocked they are using Kang since they don't have the movie rights.

As corny as this Avengers series is... I am very much intrigued by that line up of enemies.

I [frick]ing hate these lame excuse for cartoons. Can we bring back the actual GOOD stuff that wasn't brainless cartoon crap? Cartoons like Spectacular Spidey and Earths Mightiest Heroes that was fun for the entire family?

There is no justice in this world.

How many characters in these shows will be named Sam?

Marvel will not let people forget about Spider-Verse. Obviously, Age of Ultron was a success and brought much-needed media attention to both the Avengers and Ultron, but Spider-Verse was very controversial, even by Marvel standards.

Well either the sinister six is going to be in the next spiderman movie or the movie is moving along

The fact that trash like USM is now getting a fourth season is one of the greatest atrocities in super hero animation.

I thought Marvel was revamping their animation with new shows. The CANCELLATION OF THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER MAN IS STILL ONE OF THE GREATEST MISTAKES IN ANIMATION HISTORY

Avengers assemble has gotten better. Ultimate spider man is [frick]ing terrible...it's such a joke

I haven't seen any of these or the old cartoons, but there's some serious crying over spilt milk going on in this thread.

Do you guys remember a few years back the Marvel Anime shows that were like one season each? I'd much rather get more of those than what Marvel's been shoveling out of their asses as "quality" animation.

Funny, you would think they wouldn't use Kang in an animated series, since the live action rights remain at Fox.
