Based on the podcast with wordlballoon. Below are some of the the highlights:

On Ultimate Spider-man, Jeph Loeb stated that the show was not specifically written for younger audience. It was meant to be a funny show where Spidey talked to the audience and the audience gets to see what Spidey imagines. Jeph Loeb then stated that the ratings prove to Marvel that the show is working, and until they feel that audience wants the tone to change it is here to stay, sort of.

Jeph then talked about the upcoming Hulk and the agents of SMASH, stating that it is a fun show and that it has no comic book to fall on, stating that fans can't compare it to a comic book version (like how everyone did with Ultimate Spider-Man). The show will be "bombastic" and, hopefully, sends an message to the world that the Hulk is a hero.

Marvel Avengers Assemble was the next topic, revealing that its concept is to feel closer to the movie in term of characters, tone, look and fun. Jeph then stated that they transitioned from Earth's Mightiest Heroes(EMH), and that everything on EMH is acknowledged and still has happened.

The animation on the show is absolutely beautiful. And Unlike Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes it will not be rooted in the comic book world but more into the a movie feel (not the movie world).
Jeph then mentioned that according to a research (and not him) that people prefer stand alone episodes rather than long story arcs, and that is the reason why the Avengers EMH format was changed in the second part of the second season. Loeb mentioned how he loves long story arcs, but the networks don't.

If you have time, make sure to listen to the full podcast as it is really interesting and offers a lot of information about Marvel animation division.

Avengers Assemble seems like they want to coast off the movie for the audience but continue Earths Mightiest Heroes for the fans.

First. Avengers asssemble better be good. The only thing that would be worse than them canceling EMH would be if they brought back a 2nd season of ultimate spiderman ... Oh wait

Marvel tends to cancel the good tv shows early for some reason. Example; Wolverine and the Xmen, Spectacular Spider-Man, and now Earth Mightiest Heroes.

I thought thought Spider-Man was about a boy's journey into manhood by dealing with the everyday struggles of real-life teenagers and trying to balance that with his superhero lifestyle.

Or maybe I'm just an idiot who doesn't understand Spider-Man.

People dont like story arcs? And Jeph Loeb loves them? What UTTER [frick]ING BULLSHIT

And they better make it a continuation, but something tells me it will be a continuation until something from EMH messes with one of their episodes and then they will contradict EMH completely, prove me wrong fellas!

And goddamnit, they'd better explain along the way where Ant-Man, Wasp, Black Panther (a bit more easily explained, he had to get back to his kingly duties), Ms Marvel and Vision has got to

Copout!Justice League started out as hour long episodes then when it became Unlimited they became 30 minutes with a stronger continium and so does Young Justice.Fans still love the show.

I'll admit Avengers season one was mediocre at best but by season two it really started to pick up steam after the skrull invasion arc.Well all except that last episode with Galactus that was a biggest let down I've ever seen.

Loeb is full of shit, there is no research proving that people love single story episodes, nor Ultimate Spiderman. I really don't like that piece of shit, scumbag.

I think that Avengers Assemble is going to ignore the events of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I don't think it's going to directly continue them either. I'm cool with them having the core roster and tone coincide with the MCU, but I'm disappointed that there won't be any long story arcs, that's one thing I loved about EMH, as long as the episodes are still good, I'm cool with it though. Batman: The Animated Series was single story based with the occasion of a few multi-part episodes, it never had any long story arcs, and it's one of the best animated series of all time.
