MARVEL's SPIDER-MAN: Watch The Full Origin Story For The Latest Animated Incarnation Of Peter Parker

Hot on the heels of the blockbuster success of Spider-Man: Homecoming comes a brand new animated series that will tell the story of Peter Parker shortly after he becomes the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

While the new series will undoubtedly draw some inspiration from Homecoming, it also looks like it'll be heavily influenced by earlier incarnations of Spider-Man as the latest version's origin story seems to fall more in line with Spidey's classic origin, which we've previously seen depicted in Raimi's critically acclaimed trilogy.

Check out all six origin story shorts below:

In the new series, “Marvel’s Spider-Man,” we will see a fresh take on Spider-Man, as Peter Parker is learning the responsibility that comes along with being a new, super-powered hero in New York City, just as he’s being accepted into Horizon High, a high school for brilliant young scientific minds. He struggles with the duality of his social life at school and hiding his secret identity from everyone including his best friend Harry Osborn, who attends the competing Osborn Academy for geniuses. As Peter embraces his alter-ego and takes on super villains such as Vulture, Lizard, Doctor Octopus and Sandman, he watches his hero lifestyle come between his personal relationships and struggles to keep Harry from landing on the wrong side of the law.

Marvel's Spider-Man features:
Robbie Draymond as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Nancy Linari as Aunt May
Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales
Laura Bailey as Gwen Stacy
John DiMaggio as The Jackal
Alastair Duncan as Adrian Toomes/Vulture
Scott Menville as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
Max Mittelman as Harry Osborn
Patton Oswalt as Uncle Ben
Melanie Minichino as Anya Corazon/Spider-Girl
Fred Tatasciore as Max Modell
Joe Quesada as Joe
Stan Lee as Camera Man

Marvel's Spider-Man premieres August 19

@elcaballerooscuro92 - Ill give it a chance but I have little faith in Disney tv animation, back in the 90's and 2000's they had a lot of great stuff, but in recent years the only great thing they've made are Star Wars Rebels and Gravity Falls, and everything they have done in animation with Marvel has been crap.

Why do I hate this animation? From an animation perspective it looks bad but I can't put my finger on it...

Hmmm.... I feel like the world is beginning to misunderstand who Peter Parker/Spider-man is. Every new interpretation of him gets farther and farther away without actually feeling innovative. Why is he such a chatterbox as Peter? What is this "5 steps" BS? Why is everything being said out loud? What happened to internal monologues?
Also, what the hell is up with his design?

This looks marginally better than Ultimate but it definitely doesn't LOOK better. This is the most bland looking cartoon Marvel has produced in awhile. I'm not excited for this because, unless they step up their game later on, this still doesn't lay a finger on Spectacular, TAS or TNAS...

Wished they did something like this in Homecoming when it comes to Uncle Ben.
I mean, this obviously takes inspiration from the Raimi movies, i'm talking about everything else, how they approach this with kids and all.
Not exactly "light".
