SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES Adds INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE Costume And It's Seriously Spectacular

That's right, you'll be able to don the costume from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game, and it looks better in action that you'll have ever imagined...

We can promise you that this is the coolest thing you'll see today...well, aside from The Mandalorian!

Marvel Games has revealed that the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse costume will be the second pre-order bonus suit in Spider-Man: Miles Morales (the other is the newly created T.R.A.C.K. suit), and the newly released video below shows just how spectacular it's going to look in action.

Amazingly, the game has somehow replicated the animation style of the movie, so when you swing through New York City in this suit, Miles looks exactly as he did in that Oscar-winning feature. When you hit foes, special effects come up on the screen too, and that makes for a really fun visual.

In the latest adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, teenager Miles Morales is adjusting to his new home while following in the footsteps of his mentor, Peter Parker, as a new Spider-Man. But when a fierce power struggle threatens to destroy his new home, the aspiring hero realizes that with great power, there must also come great responsibility. To save all of Marvel’s New York, Miles must take up the mantle of Spider-Man and own it.

Check out this latest gameplay footage from Spider-Man: Miles Morales below:

That's cool and all, but they think for one second I will ever not have the Spider-Cat backpack on, they are insane.

Oh wow, everything from the frame-rate and style of this suit is absolute bonkers. Though the onomatopoeia bubbles are probably the coolest aspect of the suit.

That is some seriously amazing animation change. But I do hope it's optional to turn on/off

@Nightwing1015 - The animation effect can be both applied to other suits and completely turned off.

@LongMayHeReign - now we need a shader that changes the look of the game to look like spiderverse. Like uncharted.

It's stuff like this that makes me wish the Avengers game was more stylised. Like animated films, video games often don't have the same limitations live action films do in visual presentation, but it's like Marvel's Avengers doesn't even try. Every character design, every location, every particle effect and every animation feels like it has the impact and flare of a wet noodle.

@BlackBeltJones - Someone just posted these on the Avengers game subreddit and it perfectly encapsulates what I mean.

@Kumkani - the game designs are all so very stale and devoid of any real distinctiveness.

@Kumkani - That game seems to have had an insanely short lifespan for a GaaS title, lol

@Kumkani - Speaking as someone who's loved most of my time with it so far, pretty much everything in that game would be made significantly better if it focused on flash, flare and stylization over all the silly gimmicks of being a Destiny-knock off.

@Kumkani - I've been waiting for that Gladiator Hulk costume to become available in the Marketplace for 2 months now and Crystal Dynamics still hasn't added it!

The fact that they even went as far as recreating the animation style...

Its cool that they recreated the animation style but its so very jarring when applied to video games, where people usually prefer to have as many frames as possible for a smoother gameplay experience.

@Himura - I think they did the same thing with the spiderman: animated series suit in the first game. Recreated he animation style.
LongMayHeReign

@Himura - And for this exact reason they gave us the option to turn it off if we want, so best of both worlds!

I plan on wearing this suit for the entire campaign and pressing the screenshot button every second I see it onscreen in a cool pose.

Insomniac: "The PS5 runs Miles Morales at a smooth and stable 60fps."

Gamers: "Nice."

Insomniac: "Unless you wear the Spiderverse suit. Then it runs at 12fps."

Gamers: "Take my money."

Looking at the reception of Marvel’s Avengers & the Phase 1 game tie ins compared to the reception and hype for Spider-Man and Miles Morales, it’s fair to say that the Avengers are just way too overpowered and not relatable to work as a video game. They are outdated characters and aren't at all as interesting as Peter and Miles

Might I suggest what if you made a Marvel game but here’s the kicker. The Avengers are evil!

@LEVITIKUZ -

But yes.
Kumkani

@LEVITIKUZ - Wait, I kinda disagree. Sure maybe stuff like power balancing will be an issue. But the one thing the Avengers game does well enough is its combat. When it works, it really works. It's not all that deep, some of the mechanics aren't well explained, and actual gameplay can be a pain based on enemy behaviour. But at least on a basic level it's good enough.

What really brings the Avengers game down are the GaaS features attached to it that absolutely did not need to be there. It doesn't need a lot system or anything resembling the multiplayer aspects of Destiny (raids and stuff like that). That is what ruined this game, especially because the multiplayer is even so broken that it barely works. The story campaign is actually decent enough. If they had focused on making that as great as possible and forwent the GaaS aspects it would be a far better game. I can guarantee that both Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be better games because of this.

And also, I don't see why characters like Iron Man, Thor, Cap, Hulk and Black Panther can't have great single player games.
