VIDEO GAMES: How Combat Works in MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN, Along With NYC Interactions

Insomniac goes into detail on how the web-slinger will handle combat. There's also a look at "The Little Touches of New York" as you traverse & listen to a radio broadcast of J. Jonah Jameson, for example!

As part of GAME INFORMER'S all-month coverage of MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN, Bryan Intihar, the creative director at INSOMNIAC GAMES, joins us once again to go deep into the mechanics of the game's combat, along with the abilities & gadgets you'll be using to your advantage.

But that's not all!
As of today, there's a brand-new gameplay video showing off the little touches & attention to detail that Insomniac has added to specific areas of the game. We all know Spidey's gonna throw out the usual quippage at bad-guys, but upon closer inspection, we can now see civilians on buildings as we zip past! & of course, that grumpy J. Jonah Jameson is now confirmed to appear with the neat addition of him having his own radio broadcast.

Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel have teamed up to create a brand-new and authentic Spider-Man adventure. This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met or ever seen before. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN swings into stores & PS4s September 7th. Pre-Order now!

@RealTalk - I agree! I have been hesitantly awaiting god of war. I have felt uneasy about the changes they were making to the combat system. It looked like they were channeling Dark Souls. The two recent mainstream reviews, along with more footage, has eased my mind on it now. I also preordered the special edition PS4. Can't wait now! Spider-Man is going to be amazing, as his comic book suggest!

He seems to say 'Fury' and 'Captain' several times in the trailer?

I might be missing something and he might just mean a Police captain but how awesome would it be...

I'm currently only playing games from 2013. I'll get to this in about 5 years time when PS4s are cheap and all the worlds issues are righted.
