IGN caught up with actor Tom Holland during promotion for his upcoming film "In The Heart Of The Sea." He will be portaying Spider-Man in next years Captain America: Civil War and own solo movie coming later in 2017. He talks about advice from Chris Hemsworth whom he work with on this film, the greater MCU and his own take on the Spider-Man role, check it out down below.

In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story. “Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.

Tom Holland stars along side Cillian Murphy, Ben Whishaw, Benjamin Walker, Brendan Gleeson, Michelle Fairley, Charlotte Riley and Jordi Mollà. In the Heart of the Sea opens on March 15, 2015.

@smlshin - Funnily enough, they've both played a character called Billy Elliot, with Jamie having played him in the film, whereas Tom has played him in the musical.

hey man, I thought this was worth mentioning but James Gunn recently did a q and a on his facebook and he was asked about what he thinks of Doctor Strange as a character, he sort of paused, he didn't seem to take a general interest but he said he read the movie script and really like what they're going to do with it and that the visuals will push the MCU like how Guardians pushed the visuals. Obviously he wouldn't badmouth the project but he went out of his way to praise the movie, which I think is cool, I trust his opinion.

Marvel has made some amazing casting decisions in the past. I'm beginning to think more and more that this will prove to be among the best.
