How to Fit Batman/Bruce Wayne to the Man Of Steel 2 Film

I have done some brainstorming about how Bruce Wayne could be introduced to the Man Of Steel Series and eventually a Justice League Film

This is my idea that I came up with yesterday after the Superman/Batman movie was announced and could fit into the movie universe created by Man of Steel. Not only does my idea introduce Bruce Wayne/Batman but also Lex Luthor,Barry Allen/Flash,Braniaca and Kryptonite!

In the sequel which could take place soon after or even years after the events of Man of Steel, Bruce Wayne would travel to Metropolis as himself and at a news conference (which is being covered by Clark Kent) announce a partnership alongside Lex Luthor between Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp in an effort to rebuild Metropolis after the alien attack by Zod. Lex would proclaim that he would also go after Superman who is also responsible for the damage and has managed to stay out of the limelight other than saving people here and there.

Of course Lex Luthor has an agenda and other than go after Superman he plans to harness Kryptonite which is now a part of the earth after Zods "world engine" added elements from Krypton into the earth's atmosphere and thus Kryptonite was created. Lex has his own personal laboratory secretly testing on the newly found element and one of his lead scientist is...Barry Allen!

Bruce is not only in Metropolis for his partnership announcement he is also interested in learning more about Superman and due to his superior techonology is aware of Lex Luthor’s secret plans to harness the Kryptonite. Bruce (dressed as Batman) goes to investigate some of the left over wreckage from Superman and Zods encounter and discovers pieces of Kryptonite for himself. This also leads to Superman and Batman interacting for the first time and actually coming to blows. The fight is even due to the Kryptonite Batman is holding and the Kryptonite in the surrounding area.

Later on, After Batman and Superman realize what Luthors plan is they also find out that Lex has harnessed some of the left over alien technology from Zod and has begun making a version of his classic suit which is infused with Kryptonite(unknown to Superman who does not know he is allergic to the Kryptonite yet). The use of the alien technology also leaves open a potential for Braniac in a future movie(he could be behind giving Lex the information on how to make a suit to kill Superman).

In the final fight scene Batman and Superman are rushing to find Lex at his secret laboratory where his suit is when there is an explosion at the laboratory(cut to a shot of Barry Allen working there). Out of the rubble Lex Luthor has finished his suit and the final fight takes place.

In a post credit scene when Superman and Batman are talking Superman's super hearing kicks in and he hears something tells Batman to get ready for another fight and when a blur finally appears then settles the camera pans up and reveals the Flash in all his glory setting up his appearance in a solo movie or in the Justice League film.

Just to clarify the explosion at the lab in which Barry would get his powers would not be due to kryptonite(ala smallville powers) but due to his own experimentation there. This could be explained by Barry in a future movie.

This is just my idea after learning of the movie yesterday. Let me know what you guys think.

Not bad especially the part about the kryptonite and the fight scene being evenly matched because of it. However I am not a big fan of the whole Flash being a kryptonite freak just like the Smallville tv show. I would like to see a different orgin with Flash involving Cadmus and an accident that breaks out there.

I didnt mean for him to get his powers from the kryptonite but he just happened to be at the lab where they were also experimenting with it. I probably should have clarified that. Sorry.

@Tonychu In Smallville Flash was never a kryptonite freak. He got hit by lightning and got the speed force.

@tonychu ok I fixed it. And @vision91 I also think he deserves his own movie but since it wasn't announced I just went with what info I had. Other than that what did you guys think?

He's how an it's simple:

Bruce sees how bad Metropolis got [frick]ed up. He decides to join forces with Lex and LexCorp and help rebuild the city. Bruce also wants to know more about Superman and study him.

We have a charity scene in the film where we have Bruce, Lex, and Superman. Lex has Metallo there, Batman helps him out.

Easy as pie.

Called it months ago Bruce and Wayne Enterprises would team up with LexCorp to rebuild the city.

@Sp1d3y no I was basically comparing his orgin to the most of the Smallville villains Orgins.

Soto:

He's my solution. Lex and Joker team up and somehow kidnap Batman. Thanks to Harley, Joker's got some of Ivy's mind control shit. They have Batman under mind control. Meanwhile Lex does some science shit to create this:

Staright from the comics (Issue 23 I own and loved the fight that went down with this), we have the Kryptonite Batman vs Superman.

Well the Lex and Bruce teamup would just be a front for their own agendas. But we will see I enjoy speculating though!

I can see Bruce teaming up with Lex. Mostly because Bruce wants to know a little more of whats going on behind the scenes at LexCorp. It's more Batman using Bruce Wayne to figure it out.

Bruce did it in The Dark Knight while doing business with Lao.

@Soto Watch the Worlds Finest animated movie, Bruce teams up with Lex but does not trust him. Its all for business purposes.

I thought a good way to introduce Kryptonite AND Lex in these movies would be with Led creating Metallo.

It would actually be cool to see Bats and Supes team up at the end fight him. Maybe have Metallo kicking the crap out of supes and batman swings in to save him.

Yes, let's have Bats wear a Kryptonite armor. Than Superman can just hit him with heat vision from afar... Easy...

@SotoJuiceMan
He did use Bruce Wayne to get a look at the books l. He explained that to Fox before giving him his input on a new Batsuit.

Id rather usr Brainiac and Lex experimenting on humans trying to unlock the Metagene that the Martians genectically blockednfrom our DNA. Bruce use the cover of helping Lex rebuild the city while using Batman to investigate this. They create Metallo that is a metahuman that can use krytonite to power himself up. When Lex and Brainiac finds out how to do it, one of them releasr it to the world creating a whole heap of Meta's. We can maybe get flashes of Canary accidently using her Canary cry that harm people, Cold usingbhis freeze powers, andnsome more Meta's.

I would reveal Brainiac in the lastb10 minutes of the movie and save him for Justice League. This gives Bats a great reason to be in Metropolis to investigate the potential threat to the planet. Introduce a great future villaina and a reason him would not destroy Earth like his other planets. Metallo can fight Supes or use Parasite. And give past histtory of Martains and why the world is filled with humans with super powers jn future DC movies.

No, no Bruce Wayne working with Lex Luthor. Don't see it. Maybe Luthor tries to get Bruce Wayne to help him, but Wayne turns him down and helps rebuild Metropolis himself, and while doing so comes across some alien tech and realizes that Luthor might be using it for military purposes or something. And he views Superman as at least a potential threat (plus, he has no idea if other Kryptonians might be out there) and so tries to find a weapon to at least keep Superman under control. But I just don't see him working with Luthor.

As for Barry Allen working in Luthor's lab (or Wayne's for that matter, in case someone suggests that), to me that is even dumber. The Flash is from a different city, he needs to be kept separate from this. There's just no good reason to link his origin to Luthor or Superman or Batman. And it's not gonna happen anyway, since it was clearly announced as a Superman/Batman movie, and they're not gonna clutter a movie about those 2 with any other superheroes. I can see them maybe scattering some Easter Eggs here & there (maybe a newspaper headline about a lab explosion or some mysterious new crime fighter) and maybe include a post-credits scene with either Flash or Wonder Woman or a bad guy for Justice League to fight, but that's it. And quite frankly I'm very happy that the report that WB would announce a Flash movie in 2016 & a Justice League movie in 2017 was wrong. They may have those as tentative plans, but in my opinion they need Wonder Woman before anyone else. Justice League in 2017 might be okay, but not Flash in 2016. I still don't think a Flash movie will do that well anyway, so at best they should wait till after Justice League and see fan reaction to him in that movie (that may be best for Wonder Woman too, I'm not sure.)

@Soto like in Dark Knight returns? That didn't cover his whole body. But fine, Superman can throw boulders at Batman from afar. Easey, if they don't dumb him down like in TDKR

Lex and bruce don't have to work together to be on the same project. The WHOLE city needs to be rebuilt. First of all, it'd be declared a federal disaster area which means the government would be footing most of the bill, insurance companies the rest. Like after hurricane katrina. Secondly, since the damage is so great, the rebuilding effort will be contracted out to dozens of contractors. So, it makes sence that they are both there though not necessarily working together. Hell, i'd imaginge that Queen industries would be brought in also.

I am still a little weary about this movie because it is way too early to introduce Batman. I think Superman needs a sequel of his own before he is with a team. I am afraid that they will try and make batman outshine Superman in the movie when it is Superman's movie.

MoonDoggyX - 7/21/2013, 7:03 PM
I like ur idea about the flash, btw... The only problem is that I'm not sure if its a good idea to introduce at the same time marvel introduces quicksilver. However, there's no reason why bat/supes film has to be a one off.

After the events of MoS, i'd imagine that there will be a lot of parties interested in getting the remains of the kryptonian tech. Governments and corporations alike. When alien tech show up in gotham, bats/bruce follows the trail back to metropolis and eventually lexcorp. Flash could be on a team trying to reverse engineer kryptonian phantom drives that they use for interstellar travel when there's an accident... Lex could discover a kryptonian computer(braniac) in the wreckage that shows him a new source of incredible energy(kryptonite). He could then build a cyborg security guard to protect against superman, metallo...

@Soto no, if Batman is going to face Superman it means he is already batman for a while. Like in the New 52, might not be public but he is Batman for a while.

This is the perfect movie because Superman will become the hero we know he is, the one he definitely was not in MOS and he will see what kind of "hero" Batman is and will decide that isn't who he wants to be.

Nice plot. :)

Although I think LEX should work in the shadows and not reveal him yet as a villain. We could have everyone suspecting, and Superman knowing he's a villain, but no one can prove it. Save his mech armor for the third movie.

I think BRANIAC should be in the MOS sequel. Maybe he can be the villain to point out Superman's weakness, and this alien badass can build/create METALLO. Lex is smart, but earth tech shouldn't be that advance yet. Unless STARLABS or CADMUS will be revealed.

I'll go with Bruce helping rebuild this Metropolis, and initially doesn't trust Superman, because he's alien. We could go with Superman using his x-ray vision to see through Bats mask, then Bats in turn tracks Superman to the Daily planet.

Honestly, when I watched TDKR and Batman carried the bomb on his plane.

I was thinking, Batman was on the Bat a few seconds before it blows up, it's impossible that Batman survives the explosion, unless... something fast enough got him out of the Bat and takes him somewhere safe. ;)

I'm placing odds on Bruce finding Zods battle armor and making the new Batsuit out of it.

And then another 1/2 hour of 500mph punches and buildings falling over.

@ Pitt - Personally, I definitely wouldn't mind Bale's Bat returning. Just have Kevin Conroy do the voice when he's Batman. Or blend the vouces so it doesn't look like a Kung Fu flick... lol...

I always thought that the events of MoS would be a great reason for Bale's bat to come out of retirement... Mob/gangs have alien inspired tech from Lexcorp... John Blake almost gets killed, or just gets killed...

That brings up 1 problem. Bruce gave away his house...
