io9 have received some interesting pieces of information about the August 15 filming at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich, Illinois, which include some revealing details about the scenes filmed thre. Be sure to click on the link below to check out some photos they received with this info, that actually feature signs on a location saying "Smallville Pediatrics" surely backing up this tipsters claims.

They were filming a scene in the hospital where the Kents were taking a young Clark in for a checkup. Kevin Costner was on set, as well as two boys who were playing young Superman. The scene included breaking of windows on the front of the building, a fish tank, a gumball machine, a mug as well as windows on the Green 1970 Nova and the station wagon all as a result of young Superman letting out a Super Cry.

I learned that there will be HUGE battle in Plano which will include blowing up the gas station and running a train through the Sears Store during the scene. Also they will be smashing a pickup truck into the Kent House in Yorkville as a result of a tornado.

What do you guys make of all this? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

STARRING:

Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman
Amy Adams as Lois Lane
Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent
Diane Lane as Martha Kent
Michael Shannon as Zod

Yeah I saw a picture this morning of them fixing (messing up) the front porch of the Kent house, so I'm guessing it's for the truck.

@RunDTC: Movies and tv always have to use twins when casting young kids due to child labor laws. young kids are only allowed certain to be on set for certain amount of hours a day.

You can thank Smallville for that tornado. Ever since the Smallville season 1 finale (Tempest), a tornado has been apart of Superman's origin. Love SMALLVILLE!!!

Surprisingly, the thing I learned quickest about Sandwich Ill. when I was there years ago, was that it was more difficult than you would think to find a good spot to get lunch.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY @ComicBookGoth

Smallville was about and Elseworld story where Clark didn't use his powers, no one could act and there was no Superman, just a weird dude called "The Blur"...

ComicBookGoth, the breaking glass scene was for a very young Clark Kent, a small boy - not Smallville teen years+.

I think some origin SuperInfant scenes would be fun, can't wait to see the young kids super scream ^^.

a "super cry"? What, now he's got Black Bolt's powers too?

Geez, are you saying that Superman's flight, super strength, near-invulnerability, x-ray vision, heat-vision, infrared vision, frosty breath, super breath (that gale he can do by blowing), super speed, and super hearing- I'm sure I've missed something here- aren't enough powers for the writers to work with?

PLEASE let this prove to be nothing more than a ridiculous internet rumor planted just to rile people up.

@ RunDTC: For that scene in the Superman movie, there is supposed to be a "super cry" scene so Im assuming Clark Kent would be a toddler. as for the Child Labor law...the movie studio needs to contract twins for kids under 8 years old.

@rbfn04 Chloe called him Superman in Finale. Lighting Lad almost did in Legion. He's been nicknamed "Superboy" and "Super-Dude". He was asked in Pilot if he was man or Superman. And he was only the Blur when he wasn't seen by the public. In Finale, he WAS Superman.

Also, I am glad the movie won't be like Smallville. I've had 10 years of that and although I wouldn't mind more, it's time for a change.

Sounds like the Smallville season 1 finale, and also the reminiscent scene in Geoff John's recent "Secret Origin" (which is the likely inspiration).

Hopefully it'll feel much fresher than it sounds :-)

There was supposed to be a period after "movie" in that sentence, by the way.
