OFFICIAL CANDIDATES Auditioning to play the Spunky Flirtatious "Lois Lane"

Kristen Stewart read for Lois Lane, rumors are spreading on whether her taking the role of the ever so though and spunky Lois Lane or take the role of the pale apple bitting innocent Snow White... lets hope she goes with snow white and leave the spunk to the actresses auditioning for the role of Supermans Loving side Kick "Lois Lane"...

Tudors star Henry Cavill was announced as the lead in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot, we couldn't dream of a more perfect person to play the legendary Man of Steel.

That is, until the buzz spread quickly that Kristen Stewart—who we still think makes the perfect pale, apple-biting Snow White—was reading for the role of love interest Lois Lane.

Remember, Kristen's beau Rob did snatch the role of Edward Cullen from Cavill back in the day, and this potential Stewart-Cavill onscreen matchup could be fatal. Apart from her being quiet, keep to her self, indie type deal, not so flirtatious thing going on, she does not fit Lois's high heels, which by the way K-Stew utterly HATES.

Not to mention, Kristen's in good casting company.

Dlisted reports, in a rather pissed fashion, that the director is auditioning any young and available babe out there, from Malin Akerman and Rachel McAdams to Jessica Biel and Dianna Agron.

Kristen could take on Lane's character smashingly, but does she really want to play Superman's itty-bitty, shoulder-desk-sitting GF? True, the chick needs to move more out of the indie-flick realm—but please, not into another franchise where she's forever lovesick stuck to some dude. Babe needs to kill it in her own right.

In all honesty and my personal opinion, I love Kristen Stewart. When she took the role for the bad-ass rock star, Joan Jett, it made sense, honestly, kristen didn't even have to act, she just had to show up and be her self, a bad-ass, dont give a s***, rebel yell type deal. Being Lois, will really have to drain her COMPLETELY, she will ACTUALLY have to portray someone else, literally act, and be cute, funny, flirtatious, ass kicking, spunky, alive, dont take any orders, and sexy! sorry, but thats just Lois to me, but too bad that's so not Kristen. Lets cross our fingers that she picks the lead in the fairytale and poo-poos the idea of playing Clark Kent's sidekick sweetie. Her team, per usual, is tight-lipped on the latest casting rumors.

But whether the Twilight starlet lands Lois or not, one thing's for sure—she fancies R.Pattz' bloodsucking ways more than any superhero's wall-crushing strength.

Now a little free-style from me... I am really starting to get aggravated and pissed that hollywood producers are choosing really lame actors, dont get me wrong, they are good actors, but lame for the part. Im gonna start with batman, yes batman! any ways, Christian Bale is skinny, partially buff, and short, thats not bruce wayne and whats going on with the voice thing, seriously, i understand only half of what hes saying, but besides all of that, he knows how to act like a playboy, and thats good, actually Henry Cavill tried out for Batman, in all personal opinion, who would of been great for The Dark Night, he physical appearance is great for Batman, all Arkham Asylum going on there, but no, they went with little short skinny partially-buff Christian Bale, and The Joker, Heath Ledger may he RIP, but not him, his voice, laugh, and acting was about it, but again he physicality, not so joker at all, The Joker is tall, skinny, long-thin-faced and psychotic, and no Harley Quinn, are you kidding me, after all these years of batman reboots, no Harley Quinn, hollywood really wants to be known as half-assed. Please give us Quinn, the very least... Now Superman Returns, come on, seriously, Brandon Routh, yea his acting was good, he portrayed Christopher Reeves well, but he physicality, yea thats a no. SKINNY SUPERMAN! THATS NASTY! The man had to suck it in to make his chest bigger, thats just sad to me, and lois, please dont ask about lois lane, she was just disgusting, really, come on hollywood, read a comic book for once THEN make a film about it.

So, the point that im trying to make is that K-Stew taking the role of Lois Lane will be catastrophic, hollywood really needs to read a comic book and choose, instead of wearing a blind fold and seeing who is more successful out there, might as well choose johnny depp for lois. They are doing good so far by casting Henry Cavill, so please keep it that way, dont go off choosing K-Stew, shes great, FOR OTHER PARTS, but not this one, just leave it alone, do things right hollywood or all your fans are going to give up on you and just stop watching all your reboots. I say if your going to do a reboot or a new installment, DO IT RIGHT! READ A COMIC BOOK!

Casting is currently underway for Superman: Man of Steel, which will be filming in Vancouver later this year.

Fail lmao. KRISTEN STEWART would make me not even want to watch this movie. Her acting is sooooo emotionless. She would have the same look on her face writing an article that she would have if Superman was killed by Doomsday. SHE SUCKS!

christian bale is 6'2 I don't know what planet you come from but thats pretty tall plus its the height batmans supposed to be, get your facts straight mate. and this has been move it too editorial. you talk about height and henry cavill's is not even close to the height superman is meant to be so according to YOU he's short. Bale skinny? if your talking about his role in the fighter then he dropped his weight for the role that show's his dedication.

Rashida Jones would definitely be a interesting pick

so is cavill's, batman does't need to be a body builder mate, he's meant to be ninja so he has to be quick and agile. How tall the actor doesn't mean shit if they don't have the acting chops

smallvillechic90z - 2/1/2011, 6:18 PM
cavill was not much of a body builder back then, i have seen the tudors, he was buff and NOT slender and small like christian bale, he was average... good enough for bruce wayne

Is this list official?

Stewart - No. She would be required to portray more than one emotion.

McAdams - No. Didn't she already play the Lois Lane type in Morning Glory?

Ackerman - Already played the superhero love interest. Plus, she's a fairly tall woman and next to Cavill's 6'1 frame, Superman just won't look believable as the iconic, larger than life superhuman.

Biel - I see her as the kick butt heroine and not superhero love interest. She's probably due for another franchise.

Agron - Too young and maybe Glee fans won't let her shed her teen star image.

Hall, Rashida Jones, and Kerry Washington prove interesting but am I still wrong to consider Olivia Wilde or Mila Kunis for the role? Wilde is great for downplaying her beauty as a doctor on House. Plus she is also articulate, and really projects a sense of being intellectual. What about Mila Kunis? I can sort of see Mila doing the whole outspoken, throwing out journalistic verbal vomit as the career obsessed Lois Lane.

And if they are going B-lister, maybe a dyed brunette Kate Mara, or wait Emmy Rossum? Just throwing it out there.

yea its official, but ur not the only one throwing it out there, theres other actresses signing up, these are the first 8, im still looking for other candidates, but mila kunis looks all cutsy and small, shes not all that womanly to be Lois Lane, lane is a beautiful serious looking woman, kunis has all that little kid thing going on, an olivia Wilde, i really dont mind, im sure they can fix her up to be a good lois

Go Wilde!

Kunis is small in stature but shouldn't she be when standing next to Superman? She's 5'4, a little bit taller than Portman in Black Swan. And Olivia Wilde is 5'7 or 5'8. Young? She's 27 - the same age as Cavill and maybe a little older than Olivia Wilde. Cutesy though? Agron and Stewart on this list seem cutesy. I thought her characters in Max Payne, Book of Eli, and Black Swan weren't forgettable, but yes, maybe a tiny bit, miscast. Maybe if her next future films weren't comedies, maybe if she took more serious roles, would she even be considered for this list? If anything, it might help make her more versatile an actress.

oh and off subject, but did you see cavill's body in the immortals stills yet? he looked lean but yes, not big.

Wilde is my pick so far from the list. But the more I think about it though, can someone tell me how often does the fan favorite get cast and do directors ever take in account these dream cast wishlists we all have? Also, how modernized and how far are they going to delve into the Lois Lane character in the reboot? I means, she is a secondary role but if the character is somewhat far from the tough and sassy, Margot Kidder/Lois Lane we all know, can these actresses from the list pull it off? Will the character be complex? All I know is in Batman Begins, Katie Holmes was a terrible and forgettable love interest. I hope that I don’t say the same for Lois Lane in the reboot.

Someone also mentioned on another site that if all else fails, they should just "cast a relatively unknown actor for Lois, then surround her and Cavill with a kick ass, strong cast of veterans." I'm already thinking backup Plan B-list: a dyed brunette Kate Mara of 127 Hours.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead!!
I've gone off the idea of Jennifer Carpenter.
Erica Durance would be a highly unlikely pipe-dream of a perfect casting move.
Mila Kunis is an interesting choice. But I don't think she fits. Olivia Wilde would have been a good Catwoman and Anne Hathaway would have been a perfect Lois.
MEW for Lois Lane!!

Spunky and flirtatious? I just can't figure out how Lois Lane is the top reporter at the Daily Planet by being "spunky and flirtatious". How about focused and driven sprinkled with a little bit of recklessness?

And NOOOOOOOOOOOO to Kristen Stewart! I'll see her in 6 months when I roll through Taco Bell and order a burrito, She'll be handing the order back to Tom Welling.

Kristen Stewart would just follow the terrible mis casting of Cavill as Superman so I could see these morons going with her.

They seem hell bent on turning this into Superman 90210
