Rumor: MOS's Third Trailer and Advertising Campaign To Be Action-Heavy

The recently released MPAA rating for Man of Steel signifies plenty of action and that will now be highly apparent in not only the third trailer but in the advertising campaign too.

We have seen two trailers for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot. However, both trailers were very serious and more emotionally resonant than they were action packed. According to Bleeding Cool, things will be different for the third trailer. The site has been told that the third will "ratchet it right up" and that the film will "blow our minds."

In addition, Bleeding Cool also say that Warner Bros. are planning a very action-heavy advertising campaign that really plays to the film’s scenes of huge devastation.

The PG13 rating and the apparent inclusion of several additional Kryptonians signify that we are in for a treat when it comes to the superpowered action in Man of Steel. So, what do you get when you add several Kryptonians to a highly built-up area?

Man Of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe. The film swoops into theaters June 14th, 2013.

@dcjohnny the trailer will probably be attached to iron man 3, then the marketing will kick in full swing.

I HOPE it's action heavy! I need something to make me actually WANT to watch this movie! Honestly, so far, it looks like a total snooze. Also, by "action packed" I hope they don't use that phrase the way they did for TDKR! If so, then they really mean, "Adding any action at all to this bloated piece of shit will make this trailer seem action packed compared to the rest of the movie!" Ah well...I think Snyder will do alright as long as he stops listening when Nolan has an idea. It's sad that I have HALF confidence in this movie. Confident in the director, not at all in the producer really pulling the strings. Ah yes, it's a WB movie, so that's usually par for the course anyway! haha

Never cared for superman and always visited this site for Nolans Batman, but now things have changed. Looking for this and maybe for Ironman 3 but not sure, because the second one sucked really bad.

I got a feeling that if this movie is good and really successful Nolan will get all the credit. But if it's a piece of shit than Snyder will get all the blame.

@Tanjin88 I'm not saying that will definitely happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did

@Spideyguy94 i have a feeling that people that (assuming the movie does well critically) will turn their view of Snyder to one thats more positive and reign in some of their hatred. People practically wanted to hate him and when he did Sucker Punch (a film i liked alot mainly just for the visuals) people hd an opportunity to express their dislike of him a the general consensus was it wasnt very good and it just snowballed into this butthurt landslide. Like IM 2 it went from good, to ok, to meh, to themost hated MCU film just by people talking to each other and letting it escalate and i see the oppossite happening here. If he pulls this off i can see his reputation start so slide in the other direction, but yes Nolan will probably get alot of credit at first

Any word on if they'll show anything for the Super Bowl?

@Ha1frican yeah I agree. I personally like Snyder as a director. Visually his work is stunning, writing not so much. I think if he's just the director then his movie's are good. I like 300 it's worth a watch once in a while, and I love watchmen.

@nerdman
I'm with you there. TDKR was pretty much crap. Watched for the second time and wooo I was laughing my ass off and facepalming every other minute it seemed.
However, I'm pretty sure Nolan will not be doing much more than providing resources, not story elements (and hopefully they dont do that half-IMAX / half widescreen crap that had the screen size changing constantly. SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!)

I'm concerned because WB nor Legendary or anyone related to the MoS has purchased any air time for Super Bowl Sunday (this according to adage.com). Time is running out, and so is ad space. If WB doesn't get with it, they may be SOL. Hopefully we will hear positive news in the next few days, but come on already! Reserve your spot!!!!

But when can we expect the epicness??

I hope they don't give too much away, I fear we've already seen too much in the previous trailer!

But I'd like some punches between Supes and Zod :P

I can see a trailer coming out around the time of Jack the Giant Slayer in early March, its a Warner Brothers movie, so Im guessing we will get the trailer around then or maybe even a shorter version at the Superbowl
