The man who bleached his hair for something like 8 years for the Buffy-verse as the vampire Spike, has a real knack for landing cult favorite roles. Marsters, an American despite his British accent on Buffy and Angel, will be reprising his role as Brainiac for four episodes in the seventh season of Smallville.

According to “Watch with Kristin” at Eonline, Marsters will be returning to set very soon, and his episodes will air sometime in January.

How he returns is unclear, and the last time we saw him was the end of season 5, but nonetheless, fans of Marsters and/or Brainiac will no doubt be pleased to see his return imminent.
