I don't know about the whole flight thing. Something tells me they wouldn't want to give that big of a spoil in the Director's Cut. I could be wrong though...

It looks like he speared him, jumped, and landed at the geo plant.

Of course, the production notes (or whatever they're called) at the top of the screen say "Clark pushes Doomsday into space" right before the "fleap"...guess we'll have to wait until thursday to know for sure!

RecoSwaVa thank you posting this. I have been a long time fan and while they have taken a lot of liberties on this show I really hope they do show a badass fight scene between Doomsday and Clark. I am pleased with what I have seen of the fight scene so far though.

I don't think that was flying...I think thehumantorch was right when he called it a "fleap". And I don't think the fight will be a WHOLE lot of back and forth. I think we saw a good chunk of it there. Although they have been really stingy with the special effects this season so I guess MAYBE they were saving their cabbage for THIS. Either way, it looks epic! I can't wait.

Also, I like what Gunsmith said about the ring being the potential to retcon the whole thing and more closely aligning the ENTIRE Smallville universe more closesly with Superman...which could protect his identity, though I still like my idea about him utilizing Kryptonian techonology to interfere with human perception of his image.

It's a leap, doing a close up of his feet is how they have showed him super leaping every other time people have mistakenly thought he was flying. In the final cut they will do the shock waves around his feet during the close up to show him pushing off.

We all know that Doomsday is getting buried in Luthor Corp./Queen Ind's geothermal hole, but I hope that that is not where Clark pushed DD to in the clip, having it that close to Metropolis would be stupid.

THE WISH:

i hoped they would do like the comic and have every one in the dc universe fight doomsday first and he nearly kill all of them AND ACTUALY KILL a few of them (boaster gold was killed, and blue beetle was put into a coma)

plus we all know that superman never fought doomsday as a young man. so they have to put doomsday underground wraped in tough cloth and in unbreakable chains.

doomsday actualy defeated the entire justice league with one hand still bound behind his back.

THE PERFECT RECONT:

plus with zantana in the series she can use her magic to enchant supermans chest symbol so no one see's clark when they look at him they see the red blue blur (a.k.a SUPERMAN). then enchant a pair of glass's so when he wears them, no one see's superman they see meek and nerdy clark (cuase lets face it, it would take magic for all his friends like jimmy and lois not to recogize him).

so next season if this happens, know the powers that be read these post and you can all thank me.

We already know that the Justice League will fight Doomsday, and that two people die. Even Dr. Hamilton is in the mix. They are also trying to address the fact that Clark Kent isn't supposed to be fighting Doomsday yet.

looks like a big leap and probably the part where clark and doomsday die. They really should have just had him be superman already. i mean wtf we cant get a superman movie for god knows how long. How can u not have a movie lined up for the greatest superhero of all time. Just make smallville called metropolis and have a kick ass Superman series. Give us Superman fans something.

The Producers have explicitly said that he won't be officially flying just yet. He's just taking bigger and bigger leaps which become more controlled.. It's almost like he's flying, btu he's not quite there yet.

you can read about the different DC supermen. the first superman is actually said to have only been able to jump really really far ("not fly....jump good." -Samurai Jack) there are a million and one different supermen. this is very likely just another. hypothetically, we could see this clark in a comic, face to face with the superman we are more familiar with.

besides, we all know DC cant hold a candle to the godly inferno that is........MARVEL!

This show though, lost the good writers an scripts a good few seasons ago, i still enjoy watching it, but its mainly to see Dc Universe characters come alive from the comic pages like Zattana, Legion, Jonn, etc etc, an Green Arrow and Supergirl (Regs, well SG was) aint bad either! These guys are the only thing keeping SMALLVILLE fresh! Don't get me wrong i like Clarkie an co, but they seem to be going around in circles lol!

I just hope we get a few spin offs outta this! ; )

I just looked at this again; look at where Clark takes Doomsday; Looks like to space. They are not going to show a spoiler like that. Besides doesent Lois have the legion ring? Thats flight but not perfect flight, he needed a little boost. Look at the direction, yea all he needed was a leap boost to get him flying. THE RISE OF SUPERMAN!!!

Not necessarily! If you think about it, if Clark can toss Doomsday into the future, then he will have saved his own life!

So that should mean that he'll be there (in the future) to have the Legion's back! Then, he can be properly killed by Doomsday, lol.

Superman wouldn't be alive in the future even if he survived fighting DD. The Superman that fights with the LoSH is from their past.
