you know what i mean, the subject is smallville the show is far from epic.

even the green arrow speech wasn't epic.

I've said it before, the most important thing in my mind about the show is that as differently as they've tackled the mythology, as long as the show ends with all of the pieces in place, then I'll be happy. And that sequence in "Homecoming" is proof that in the end, that is indeed what will happen.

SMALLVILLE..LASTED 10 SEASONS, HATERS WILL HATE BUT IF YOU WERE GIVEN A SHOW TO SHOWCASE SUPERMAN WOULD YOURS BE BETTER? WOULD IT PLEASE EVERYONE?..REGARDLESS OF OPINIONS, FACT OF THE MATTER IS, ITS LASTED 10 YEARS, THAT'S HUGE.

@xenix i was thinking the same thing, but then think of it this way (though i doubt its true)

the makers of the front cover (in the show) probably havnt been able to get a real up close pic of green arrow before, so they probably just got some other guy, close ups of the famous oliver queen must be plentiful.
and i dont think there was enough time in between the magazine and green arrows big reveal to have a photoshoot.

or maybe smallville just has shoddy prop dept haha

Homecoming was quite possibly the BEST Smallville episode of it's entire 10 seasons and that's not hyperbole. I absolutely loved it and they just hit it out of the park, everything felt right in that episode.

I actually just want to get that episode on Blu-Ray because it was so good. I've watched almost every episode of every season and Homecoming felt like a reward for us fans.

By the way people talk about the episode of Smallville this has got to be EPIC. I haven't seen this episode gotta check it out.

Oh by the way this Smallvile timeline is not even based on the comic books well maybe just the part of Lex Luther being his friend when they were young. But the timeline is loosely based on the 1st Superman movie from Richard Donner right in the middle before he shows up as Superman in Metropolis as it looks. Given that they through some of that shit out the window from its mythos.

Hypothesis on this reason is because in the comics Clark's dad is or was still alive when he was Superman in Richard Donner's flick his dad dies of a heart attack before he becomes Superman.

"Homecoming" is probably my favorite episode of Smallville, dare I say, epic? It's either this or the pilot so far. I'm not sure how they're going to be able to top this episode, hoping the finale just goes full steam ahead with Welling in the suit, fighting Darkseid or something.

EPIC SMALLVILLE! :D

oh man! *sobs* Dr Who may get respect in this country known as Britain..but bloody Smallville get's nowhere near! We're all still sat watching season 9 and that's gonna end tomorrow night. We'll have to wait almost 7 or 8 months before More4 (the channel it's aired on) thinks it's reduced enough on price to buy and eventually show us poor shmucks over here..by that time..it'll have just about ended with you guys.
I did take a peek though at Homecoming on YouTube. ( Something I'm loath to do because I like to see the whole of the show..and in good quality) and from what I saw..made the hair's on the back of my neck stand on end with sheer delight.
One things Smallville does greatly is give a nod out to ALL Superman genres. I LOVED the nod to Supermans Return at the very end of the episode.

When Lois steps onto his feet and he just floats skywards. Was in 2 words, EPICALLY AWESOME.

Now I'm just gonna have to sit and bloody wait! *sob*

The covers look amazing! I really like OQ and would love a spin off. Justin is very watchable.

@the14thavenger No,it's both Justin's face. One (oliver) is angled slightly downwards ( his chin is pulled in ) and the other one (G-Arrow) is angled straight at the lens and lit from the side and a softer light used. The Green Arrow pose has more 'pride' to the stance. ;D

@Oceandeep.Can't you just go on Google and type in "Watch Smallville Episodes Online"?That's what I do when I miss an episode of one of my shows. You can watch them on www.CWtv.com a week after they are aired also.I guess you guys' internet is the same as ours here in America,I mean I don't know, just asking.Just tryin to help you out.
@Deadpool72.If you don't like the show and all your comments are the same all the time, just like Grif & Teabag, why do you even bother watching it?I hate crap like Grey's Anatomy, but I don't sit and watch it just so I can go on a message board and say how gay it is.I don't waste my time. There is plenty of other entertaining shows on through the week.Just like I don't waste my time on here clicking on articles that don't interest me.Please explain,I'd like a common sense answer if you don't mind. Not trying to be a d*ck,I just want a serious straight answer, that's all.

@jorEl77 Thanks for the help there. :) unfortunately, here in the U.K we can't watch the CW web page shows. We run at different Mhz. ( I think) It's all about INTERNATIONAL bandwidth and how much you can get enough with your ISP..somat like that. I know of people who download episodes off the net..but like I said, I wanna watch it on my T.V. Afterall, we Brits have to pay a licence to watch TV here..so it's my right!!! lol

@ gunsmith Gotta hand it to Smallville, they give great nod. *mwahhh* no, I mean it. They have always respected ALL of the Superman franchises; in all it's guises. The last scene from this amazing, awesome, epic, drooling, (That's enough, Ocean!) episode was the nod to Superman Returns that's been missing. and I for one LOVED it!

LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT KNOW*

SPOILER X SPOILER X SPOILER X SPOILER X

When Lois steps onto Clark's feet and (in his bliss) he floats skywards was stright out of the 'roof scene' and every hair on my geeky head stood on end. So happy was I, it made me want to leap a tall building in a single bound!

The chemistry from these two just get's better and better...and I have to hand it to Tom. I loved his chemistry with Kirsten. (even if in the end I grew to dislike (very much) her character,) They sizzled.
I'm a body language expert and have to say there was a little more than just a playing of roles going on..that, or no-one really gives Mr Welling the kudos he deserves for his acting ability (that's a whole other topic - right?)
So at first, when he finally shows us some interest in Lois it felt..let's say, not so sincere. That all changed (for me) at Chloe's wedding..when we finally see that * true* spark in Clark's,and even more so Tom's eyes. It's grown and blossomed beautifully since that moment..and is now one of the really great T.V romances.

What most people forget when regarding Clark Kent is he's not human. He IS hiding the greatest secret ever put down on paper. Clark is an INTERNALIST. We have to connect emotively with his inner-self in order to truly understand where he's coming from; and if you 'really' watch Tom, it comes out beautifully through his baby blues...or is that greens?
Now many of you guys think that Mr Welling is a pretty wooden actor..yet most women not only see the body beautiful ( I personally think the guy's got THE biggest hands I've ever seen) but because we are creatures of emotion. (yes it's true you guys..we women communicate more through feeling than any other form) we 'get it' more. So believe me, over the years, Tom has grown and grown in his acting abilities. I for one would love to see him 'do' Superman on a larger stage.
Oceandeep
Oceandeep - 10/17/2010, 9:34 PM
Just to push the point a little more. I've just watched the clip again. First off the kiss. who noticed Clark raise his eybrows? Well, a quick raising of the eyebrows will last less than a second as this is usually subconscious. This gesture is done by every culture on Earth as a sign of attraction. Good acting? maybe..but think it's a real response.

There is also the moment that Lois say's to Clark that "You drive me crazy" Tom clenches his jaw. Now this maybe just beautifully subtle acting..but this is another subconscious response and one that is hard 'act out'...what he's 'really' doing here is calming his urges. Sex in a primordial thing. Way back when we were all cave men it was a pretty aggressive act and this has carried on through the ages. We have learned a thing or two since then..yet it's still in us. So one way of averting that aggressive instinct is to direct it elsewhere. The clenching of the jaw is seen primarily as anger management. Yet, when we see it in a sexual situation it's a suppression of base instinct.

Acted? if it is..the guy deserves an Oscar!

lol ;D
