TV Guide.com posted the following about the episode: "While Clark takes a trip down memory lane with the surprisingly helpful Brainiac 5 (James Marsters), it's his trip to the future that will most help him become the Man of Steel. What Clark sees 'galvanizes his confidence,' executive producer Brian Peterson says. 'He comes out [of the episode] as the leader that we know Superman to be. His leadership skills sort of jump up to the next level and that sort of maintains all the way through the rest of the season,' adds executive producer Kelly Souders."

I very much doubt Welling will get into the suit until the last ep of Smallville. If that's what this is getting at prepare for disappointment.

Again.

HOW NOT TO DISAPPOINT FANS OF SMALLVILLE..
-THE LAST ONE SHOULD BE A TWO HOUR EVENT...
-HE SHOULD WEAR THE SUIT AND BE SUPERMAN, NOT JUST FOR SECONDS...
-THEY SHOULD POUR THE MOST MONEY IN THE FINAL EPISODE, A CLIMACTIC ENDING..
-A DARKSIED VS SUPERMAN FIGHT IS EPIC..THATS HOW YOU END 10 SEASONS..PERIOD.

I'll bet my life that we won't see Superman in this 200th episode. :( I'm still lolling forward to it though...the return of Marsters as Brainiac makes it worth watching even if nothing else does!

LMAO tea!!! What will you do if Snyder casts him as Superman? ;D

come on smallville fans did you honestly think that you were gonna see him in the "superman" outfit before the final episode.

they've strung you along for ten years, they know you will watch right up to the final episodes last fifteen minutes for the money shot.

i can't believe everyone on the show has flown before clark i.e lois, supergirl, hawkman & zod.

not long now,was it twenty episodes about five months to the final show.

at least we've got the superman reboot to look forward to.

@ teabag

the smell farts for food & p.s smallville sucks jokes crack me up every time i read them. :D

if his lucky & they make another superman show,he could cameo in that.

just like how teri hatcher & dean cain are in smallville.

or by a stroke of luck he might get work on the new superman movie as everyones bitch.

Come on, guys.

As a Smallville fan, I don't care if he ever wears the suit. I haven't been watching this to see Superman, I've been watching this to see a different spin on the Superman mythos. I just want to be entertained by the show and so far, I've been entertained for the majority of the ten seasons.

To me, this is like an Ultimates version of Superman in some alternate dimension. It's not the story of Superman from the comics and it's not meant to be.

Now, if you're wanting a straight re-telling of the Superman story, then this obviously isn't something you're going to like. If you want to see a bunch of guys running around in tights fighting guys running around in tights, this isn't for you.

I understand your not liking it if that's how you're deciding whether or not to like it but you've got to understand that others of us like it for entirely different reasons.

If Michael Rosenbaum doesn't come back, they could always get this guy: boxer Jesse Brinkley.

There's a resemblance :)

Notice how he says the "No Flights, No Tights" rules has been applied up until the 200th episode. He's literally hinting that we may see Future Clark in the suit.

@Nerdman3000

Don't be silly haha All we will get to see is the Blur. Red Blue Blur. But a Blur none the less. It would be funny if the last episode showed clark looking at the suit. Shows him from behind ( showing his cape) "only" and him flying off as a blur of red and blue. Given how smallville likes to drag things along and hint and things they never tend to fulfill, Its not too far to imagine that happening. Anybody else agree or see other wise?

WTF are they doing with Darkseid?? Some dark abstract force that manifest itself through the doubts and negative thoughts of others. Hell he should audition for Supernatural..they should do that for their 7th season. I like the show but it disappoints me quite a bit. And What the hell is up with Jor El. He is not dead obviously. He was never this active. Giving pre-recorded advice is one thing. But being a Artificial, interactive, intelligent and free willed agent is something entirely different.

Whatever happened to Tickle me Jor El?
