Mary Mouser Has Auditioned For SUPERMAN: LEGACY's Lois Lane; Possible Casting Announcement Date Revealed

DC Studios may have an endgame in mind when it comes to announcing who will star in Superman: Legacy, and another name has been added to the list of Lois Lane candidates in Cobra Kai star Mary Mouser...

DC Studios and James Gunn are in the process of casting Superman: Legacy, and we may finally have an idea about when an announcement will be made.

According to insider Jeff Sneider on John Rocha's YouTube channel, the hope is that the news can be shared during this July's San Diego Comic-Con. If true, it would be a great way for DC Studios to steal the show from Marvel Studios at the event, and the best possible manner to introduce the new Superman and Lois Lane to the world.

Another name for the latter role has also been added to the mix in the form of Cobra Kai star Mary Mouser.

Her other credits include Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad DayThe Fosters, and Happy Together. She's a veteran performer who has been acting since childhood and definitely has all the makings of a great Lois.

However, she'll have to compete with supposed frontrunner Rachel Brosnahan. Like Mouser, Emma Mackey, Phoebe Dynevor, and Samara Weaving have also auditioned for the role. When it comes to the Man of Steel, David Corenswet, Jacob Elordi, and Andrew Richardson are possibilities, with Nicholas Hoult now a likely candidate to play Lex Luthor.

Sneider also mentions in passing that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Bradley Cooper was indeed considered for the villainous role for a time. He passed, but it sounds like the actor is looking for a big tentpole after spending the past few years directing and working on smaller movies.

"Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas," reads the movie's synopsis. "He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned."

Superman: Legacy is set to be released in theaters on July 11. 2025.

Damn you guys are hungry as hell for this casting news. I can’t wait for the 77 articles leading up to the actual announcement. And of course the 12 million after the announcement 🤣

@iceballsreborn - I'd hate to hear what y'all would've said about Margot Kidder back in the day.
Shivermetimbers
Shivermetimbers - 5/19/2023, 11:57 AM
@iceballsreborn - This exactly. Never said she was ugly. She's decently attractive, but by movie star standards, I think she is on the plain side.

@Shivermetimbers - I guess what I'm saying is, maybe movie star standards are changing, and maybe that's a good thing. But also, who among our favorite actresses from the last 40 years achieve that standard of beauty, if you remove the influence of nostalgia? Margot Kidder, Carrie Fisher, Karen Allen, wouldn't most of them fall short of being a stone-cold Super Model Ten? Yet they all had that girl-next-door appeal that made us fall in love with them.

@ClintThaHamster - standards changing? like you referenced margot kidder look like a bag lady. gal gadot, ana de armas, margot robbie. dude hot women are all of these movies. so why cant supes get a nice piece of a55?

Clintthahamster - 5/19/2023, 5:14 PM
@iceballsreborn - My point is, Brosnahan is a nice piece of ass. Beauty is subjective. I think Ana DeArmas is kinda mid, but that's just, like, my opinion. If you look at any list of "the sexiest actresses" or "most beautiful women," I guarantee you'll disagree with a third of the people on the list at least. Eye of the beholder and all that.

She's actually really, really good in Cobra Kai. It's just her character is so unlikable lol.

I mean, I guess she could play Lois Lane. Looks super young tho, much younger than her actual age.

I was thinking, out of all the shows I watch, who would DC potentially alot of the actors from one show.

I reckon The Umbrella Academy could have a few actors worth casting
