The Flash raced into theaters a little over six months ago and, well, it's a movie which split opinions. There are some elements it was hard to find fault with, including Alexandra Byrne's impressive costume designs.

Thanks to artist Andrew Domachowski, we have some awesome new concept art from the blockbuster which DC Studios' co-CEO James Gunn once hailed as being among the "greatest superhero [movies] ever made."

As well as offering a closer look at the suits worn by The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Supergirl (Sasha Calle), we see some gruesome designs for Dark Flash. In The Flash, he was the younger Barry Allen who became corrupted by the Speed Force after spending aeons trying to save the Girl of Steel and Batman.

Last June, Calle revealed that she'd met with DC Studios' co-CEO Peter Safran when she said, "I hope to continue playing Supergirl. I love her so deeply, and I feel so connected to her."

Since then, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has started taking shape and, ahead of Kara Zor-El's planned cameo in Superman: Legacy, Milly Alcock, Emilia Jones, and Meg Donnelly are among those now being eyed for the role. As a result, it appears Calle has received her marching orders, a shame considering the fact she was one of The Flash's few highlights.

There's currently no news on whether DC Studios has plans for the Fastest Man Alive, a shame considering what a great character he is. We'd bet on Barry being replaced by Wally West, anyway.

Check out this newly revealed concept art from the DCEU movie below. More of Domachowsk's work on The Flash can be found here.

Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.

That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.

The Flash is now streaming on Max.

The movie was poorly written and poorly paced. It has some of the worst CGI in a big budget movie in a long time.

@SonOfAGif - and the excuse of "it's supposed to look that way" is just lame and lazy. Think it may have even worked better without it.

Yeah. Coming from a guy who loved the film, Miller looks ridiculous in that suit.

However, I thought Sasha was AMAZING. Wish we could spend more time with her character. She was ferocious and vengeful but with a perfect amount of grace.

Here's hoping the new Supergirl nails it. Nothing but support.

Major miscasting for Ezra. I wonder if anyone internally over at the old WB regime was legitimately pissed off at Snyder getting choice of casting for the entire league.

None of these actors were bankable. It’s like marvel taking a chance on hemsworth who was a relative unknown at the time. Except that worked out. This didn’t, times 5

She should have a name that reflects her acting skills.

I rename her Sasha Good Boobs.

Dark Flash really shouldn't have been in this movie. He looked terrible, his presence just made things more confusing, and it was no surprise either it was just a future version of past Barry.

As for Supergirl, I like this shiny version in the concept art. Not that I need to see it in live-action though. Rather see Calle as Powergirl if she gets to return.

The concept art for The Dark Flash looks pretty cool, does he look like that in the movie?

It certainly wasn’t the best movie, but I watched it the other night for the first time and I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the film, but it was far from "one of the best superhero movies ever seen."
I didn't mind the chrono-bowl idea, but the CGI they used was terrible... maybe it was rushed with all the re-writes?

I don't quite understand the logic of releasing it then the other films like Blue Beetle and Aquaman, considering that they seemingly won't form part of the new DCU. Surely it would have been better to use the Flash as a transition to a new DCU similar to the Flashpoint storyline.

Such a shame the Flash was mishandled so badly.
