The Flash has finally made it to theaters after numerous delays and controversies. But should you go see it? In most cases these decisions are made purely on the quality of the film in question, but The Flash has a bit more of a moral conundrum at its core. It has a main star in Ezra Miller who has repeatedly been embroiled in assault allegations, burglaries, and even rumors of child abuse and trying to start a cult. In this episode of Journey Through Cinema we are going to be taking a look at the troubled scandals behind the lead, how history has dealt with figures like this in the past, and if the quality of this self-proclaimed “Greatest Superhero Film of All Time” is worth walking into the moral grey area of supporting a questionable individual.
The Flash follows Barry Allen who discovers time travel just as his father’s innocence hearing is approaching. When he learns the newfound evidence won’t be enough to exonerate him, he decides to travel back in time to prevent his mother’s murder and his father’s false imprisonment. Unfortunately his actions have dire consequences and may just end up ending the world or the multiverse at large.
