With 'The Flash' Season 9 premiering in under a week, it's not surprising to see promotional pictures for upcoming episodes surfacing online, and doing so faster than our very own Scarlett Speedster. Season 9 Episode 2's promotional pictures have been released, and one picture indicates we may be seeing the main antagonist for the first part of the season, pretty early on.
So far, only three new stills provide a glimpse of episode 2, but one photo out of the three is the most intriguing; we may have got a look at the first confrontation between The Flash, and Red Death!
The first still is The Flash appearing to have just sped his way up to someone's rooftop in Central City - this may hint at The Flash encountering Red Death because if we look back to the Season 9 trailer, Red Death is showed standing atop a rooftop as well.
Sure, it may appear a bit farfetched, but Barry is seen in his Flash costume in the photo, and he looks as if he is ready to have a throwdown against The Red Death.
The longevity of The Red Death storyline would be another reason why we would see the villain this early on in the season since the first 6-episode titles of the season have only been leaked, seemingly confirming the count of the story arc.
