Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It was very clear that Coulson was dead and even he thinks something is amiss as he's ordering physical examinations on himself and trying to access his personal file. But what if mysticism is involved? In
Thor: The Dark World, the fate of Odin is left in an ambiguous state due to actions by Loki. In a new interview with
HeroComplex, Odin himself, Anthony Hopkins may have revealed an interesting clue about what happens to people when Loki kills them.
On Odin's fate at the end of Thor: The Dark World and what it means for Thor 3?
Anthony Hopkins: "I’m not sure. He hasn’t physically died on screen, but I played him as a man who’s on his way out. I think they would have to explain in “Thor 3,” if there is one, what happens to Odin. Or maybe it’ll just be a story line, maybe he went to Tahiti or something for a holiday. I don’t know." Oh, I'm pretty sure you know Hopkins. The Academy Award winning actor doesn't strike me as someone particularly interested in comic books or who would watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (heck, he didn't read the entire script for Thor: The Dark World, he only learned Odin's lines). So unless this is an extremely unlikely coincidence, Tahiti may actually really be a "magical place" in the MCU.
