Megacon has been a favorite to most Orlando and central-Florida Con-Goers, and i was excited to be there for 4 days. Considering Stan Lee and William Shatner were the guest of honor. But as you first enter the convention Hall, you see this big black Acura car with machine guns and police lights and much more attached to it. I was thinking it might be a promo for a new game or tv show. I then saw the giant "STRATEGIC HOMELAND INTERVENTION ENFORCEMENT LOGISTICS DIVISION" sign. I then rushed the booth and checked out the car, but i was then grabbed by a SHIELD agent dressed in a suit, sunglasses, and ear piece. and i was then put in line to be "recruited" into SHIELD. I signed papers filling out my name and email.
As i then stepped up to the desk with a lovely young women dressed like she could be the secretary for Mr. Stark himself, She then asked for my papers, and then asked me to stand in front of a tall white cloth wall to get my picture taken. Just about 3 minutes later i was handed my offical SHIELD I.D. badge by another agent as he said
"Agent Velorian, Welcome to SHIELD. Your first mission starts April Eleventh"
As i was handed my ID badge, i then turned around and accidently bumped into Superman and the Silver Surfer, (not something you'd expect to see, but only at a Con)
but i then stood proud to be an official field agent of SHIELD!!
I was then told to visit the website www.joinshield.com to check for updates for my "mission" and any new information i need. But all it does is take your email and name and says "return 4/11/2011"... Might i say i have a very large excitement burst every time i see my badge.... I will def wear it to the THOR premier along with my hammer and helmet.
oh yea... by the way... it was all free to get a badge. not a dime spent.
As the booth was all just a promo for THOR and Acura motors, it was beyond awsome!!! did anyone else get their badge???
