Fans remain anxious to see the Uncanny X-Men join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though there's no sign of mutants quite yet. Despite that, a Professor X Variant just showed up on another Earth in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Madripoor (a well-known mutant haven in the comic books) was finally introduced in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
When the God of Thunder paid a visit to Omnipitence City in Thor: Love and Thunder, we were introduced to a lot of wacky-looking Gods, most of whom appear to have been newly created.
We're sure a closer look at all those powerful beings will reveal some big Easter Eggs, but Bleeding Cool believes they've found a significant nod to the X-Men.
Do you remember seeing a God that appeared to be a giant eyeball? Well, the site is convinced that could be Ora Serrata, God of the Arakii. Introduced during the Krakoa era of X-Men storytelling, the Arakii were a race of mutants exiled to another dimension before recently returning to the Marvel Universe (pocket dimensions are something we've seen a lot of in the MCU lately).
These mutants now call a terraformed Mars home, and as well as bringing their technology and beliefs to the Marvel Universe, they've also brought their Gods...such as Ora Serrata.
We don't necessarily think this "cameo" is leading to anything major in the MCU, especially when we don't know how much input Kevin Feige had in the inclusion of all those exotic-looking extras. However, Ora's possible debut may give us an idea of the stories Marvel Studios has its eye on (pun intended) and how mutants could eventually be added to this already well-established shared world.
Then again, it may have just been a giant eyeball God!
