Following its Digital debut next week, Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 27, and the first of four deleted scenes has now been shared online (via IGN).

In "Looking for Zeus," we see Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Korg (Taika Waititi) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) arrive at Omnipotence City seeking an audience with Russell Crowe's Lighting God. Instead, they run into his other son (Brett Goldstein's Hercules debuts in the mid-credits scene) Dionysus, played by veteran stage and screen actor Simon Russell Beale.

The hedonistic deity isn't particularly helpful, shrugging of Thor's request before leaving for pre-orgy drinks in Aphrodite's.

Check out the scene below, and let us know if you plan on picking up Thor: Love and Thunder on Blu-ray.

Dionysus can actually be seen in the theatrical version of Love and Thunder in a crowd shot, but it seems Beale's big scene was scrapped along with appearances from Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster and Peter Dinklage's Eitri (we don't expect to see their deleted scenes).

Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, Thor: Love and Thunder  is now playing in theaters.

I'm guessing that CGI was unfinished because that looked terrible (yes I saw the blue screen but I'm talking background scenery that had been rendered)

@ClungesForever - somehow an improvement on what was actually in the movie.

@ClungesForever - Well, that and Korg's head hanging for a stick above Taika at the very end would make me think so as well 😉.

@Fogs - Ah, didn't catch that (I was too distracted by Korg's floating decapitated head 😉).

@ClungesForever - Yeah, it's kind of a blink and you'll miss it and I happened to just not be blinking at that moment.

@StSteven - I actually didn't realize Waititi did the stand-in capture work for Korg. I assumed someone else did and he just voiced it later.

@Rosraf - Yeah, he's ben doing it since Ragnarok (and I think that he even did it for that DP/Kork review of Free Guy, but I could be wrong). So people can have their varying opinions as to whether or not they like Take's sense of humor and such, but you can't deny that the guy is pretty hands-on. especially when it comes to Rita and Tessa, amIright guys? Huh? AmIright? K, I'll pay my tab and go...

Lmao, Taika's little Korg outfit at the end? Did he shoot the whole film in this?

Really excited to see more of Hercules, whether in his own project or a Thor 5!

I'm kinda dissappointed that it is a motorized cart. That's my takeaway from this. I don't care about the rest of the scene, and so I don't mind it being cut

I’d say about 90% of the time when I see a deleted scene I say yeah that should have been cut. This is one of those times.

I hope they either dial the dumb humor down, or get rid of Waititi for the next Thor.

Let him do Guardians.

Give Thor to Joseph Kosinski.

@ScottSummers - It's weird that all the neutral folk in the middle could see this outcome building. Ever since the 2nd Guardians movie, all marvel films started to coalescence into the same homogenous storytelling and character depiction. Thor tells jokes, Dr. Strange makes cultural references intended only for the audience; Star Lord is just another Tony Stark persona reskinned. You could see that this was where it was going to end up; the movies becoming parodies of themselves. Everyone acting like Love and Thunder was an anomaly is exercising willful blindness. As long as the audience keeps paying for this content, the parody will continue to build

The actor on Dioynus's left definitely got the job because he knew someone because his facial mannerisms is very poor acting
