THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Star [SPOILER] On Their Mid-Credits Scene Cameo And Possible MCU Future

The actor who made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Thor: Love and Thunder's mid-credits scene has finally broken his silence on the role and weighs in on his possible future in this shared world...

In Thor: Love and Thunder's mid-credits scene, Hercules made his long-awaited MCU debut when Zeus sent his son to take revenge on the God of Thunder for attacking him earlier in the movie. Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein is playing the Olympian, and there's a lot of intrigue surrounding Marvel Studios' plans for him moving forward.

Talking to Variety, the actor finally commented on the role and revealed that he insisted his parents should go and watch the Thor: Ragnarok sequel...without telling them he was in the movie.

"I didn’t tell anyone because Marvel put a chip in my neck that said 'If you talk about this you’re dead,'" he joked. "My mom and dad, I sent them a text and said 'I’ve just seen Thor.' I knew it’s not the kind of film they’d see. I said, 'You should go see it. It’s funny.'"

"My mom is texting me all the way through the film giving me a running commentary. I’m like, #Just watch the film!'" Goldstein continued. "It gets to the end bit, where it shows Russell Crowe...my mom texts me 'Russell Crowe’s in it again, he’s very funny.' I go, 'F*cking look up at the screen!'"

As for what the future could hold in store, the actor may have finally broken his silence on his MCU debut, but he's giving nothing away. "I truly, honestly - this isn’t me lying or being coy - I know nothing," he claims. "All I know is what I did that day and that’s it. That could be it. It was a fun three seconds."

The response to Thor: Love and Thunder has been a little lukewarm, but with over $500 million at the worldwide box office and counting, we're sure the title hero's story is far from over. As for Hercules, while he may fancy taking aim at Thor, the character is one with an extensive history in the Marvel Universe, including a lengthy stint with The Avengers.

He also ends up being one of Thor's fiercest allies in the comic books, so we can't wait to see how this bromance develops.

Thor: Love and Thunder is now playing in theaters.

At this point I don’t think Roy Kent is a character he plays but it’s based off him

It's interesting for me to note how Kev started to have a more direct approach with certain plot-points.

What with Hercules and making Kamala Inhuman.

Especially when it comes to the mutants, according to what everyone is saying, he really does seems to be the big mastermind and no one else knows what he's planning.
Not that i don't trust him, but he's not exactly a storyteller and don't they usually have their trusted group of people instead of just Kev calling the shots? Maybe this is still the case, i dunno...

Fingers crossed, as for Thor L&T or Hercules here...Super-Meh...

I think this is great casting and I haven’t even seen Ted Lasso.
I saw some clips of him and he is very likable.

He just needs to beef up a bit and he’s perfect.

@rychlec -

Lol or a lot idk
I mean I know Herc is a big big dude in the comics but we know the MCU hasn’t been following the comics that much lately, so a beefy but slender Herc compared to Hemsworth’s jacked up Thor might be a nice contrast.

Well I mean it’s just a cameo for now, we probably won’t see Hercules until 2 years down the line or more so he has time hehe

@MisterDoctor217 - don't get me wrong, I love the actor. He's so great in Ted Lasso, I just don't think it's a good casting for this role. Hopefully he proves me wrong and if I am I'll own up to it.

@Toblakai -

But why don’t you think he’s right for this role ?
His face is just like the Herc from the comics, he just needs the muscle and he can do funny and serious hehe

Ted Lasso is a good show. I love the cast. As for him playing Hercules? I don't care who plays who. The problem is the writing. If Disney is making Thor a comedy, then Captain America should be a musical like La La Land.

oh and please can you all go see Thor 4 more times? It'll really help Disney's stocks.
thank you

@SpaceAgent - lol. It needs $750 million to break even. It'll be out of theaters in 2 weeks......it will be lucky to break $800 million.

So yeah...flop is a pretty accurate description for this nonsensical excessive in stupidity.

If only Thor had known that the weapon he possessed for a 1000 years could just magically put itself back together hey?
supermanrex
supermanrex - 7/22/2022, 10:43 AM
@Toblakai - the film was 250 million to make, with marketing tacked its about 400 million estimated. they made that shit back already. plus its not releasing in china and russia so its final haul is gonna have a * on it. its only been two weeks. plus the whatever they make off the merchandise and upcoming dvd and blue ray sales. every marvel movie is not going to make a billion dollars. was it a perfect movie? no. was it this absolutely horrible thing people are pushing. hell no.

Respectfully, there's no way Brett "Roy F*king Kent" Goldstein said "mom".

Mum is the word you're looking for.
