VIDEO: See Natalie Portman Lift Mjolnir After THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Announcement At Comic-Con

Marvel Studios stole the show at Comic-Con last night with a series of blockbuster announcements but an undeniable highlight was learning that Taika Waititi is planning to adapt Jason Aaron's The Mighty Thor series in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder

The comic book series revolved around Jane Foster becoming the new God of Thunder and Natalie Portman was brought out on stage to confirm her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe both as Jane and the new Thor. The actress hasn't been seen in this shared world since 2013's Thor: The Dark World so Marvel Studios must have something special in mind to talk her around.

In the video below, you can see the moment Portman was brought out on stage and her lifting Thor's hammer for the first time. We don't know how Mjolnir will return in Thor: Love and Thunder but given how WandaVision will tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Loki could be responsible for Jane's transformation.

Time will tell on that front but check out the video below to see Portman holding the hammer!

@PlusUltra - I think we all can agree that Jane Foster Thor has one of the best costumes in all of comics, I hope they go 1 to 1 with this one!

@WruceBayne - This is just some fan art. I'm sure the costume will look much different. Probably won't see anything official for another year.

@tmp3 -
Easily the weakest part of the Thor movies though... she really hated the role also. I'm guessing she's only back because they offered to pay her a lot more.

Not a fan of the first two Thor films, but I'm still glad Natalie's back.
