Here we have our first look at the logo and title card for the upcoming Bumblebee movie, which was unveiled last night at the film's wrap party.

Color aside, the style of the lettering is reminiscent of the other Transformers movies, while the logo is an artist's rendering of the lovable Volkswagen Beetle's head.

The movie is set in 1987, and kicks-off with Bumblebee finding refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

Bumblebee: The Movie also stars John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg, Jason Drucker, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, Ricardo Hoyos and Gracie Dzienny. The spin-off is set ti hit theaters the same day as Aquaman on December 21, 2018.

@CinemaJackXCI - tbH I'm quite excited for this film. Its a girl and her car. Instead on blown out action .....we can get a small iron giant feel of a film.

@CinemaJackXCI - The summary is literally just Transformers 1 again.

@JONALOTZRH - If you think this is going to be anything at all, even at a microscopic level, like the Iron Giant, then I've got a bridge I want to sell you. It's on sale for only $99.99!

@Luminus - hahaha, well look it's a smaller film and that's going to help. Its only got three robots in it and a smaller budget. So hopefully we get a character piece. But I will say bay is still producing I think, so yeah it still could feel like his films like the TMNT films did. But the script writer for this got a lot of praise for it so.....fingers crossed.

I thought the performance of the last Transformers film would have killed this franchise.

@Forthas - it still made 600 million, a decent amount of money, if it had made 300-400 then it was dead, plus they were already well into development of this movie, that cancelling it would've lost them more money, its like lets just say for argument sake JL flopped, then if DC pulls the plug on Aquaman, that makes more money lost.

But this is the first film not with Bay at the helm, so who knows how this will turn out

@Snotzo - me2 :P Didn't watch the first three movies either, though. Only the fourth because I had won tickets to see the movie in my local cinema. Did enjoy the film, though! (The extremely long running time was my main problem with the film actually...).

I Never bothered with the last TF movie because they just kept getting worse and worse. But because this movie has the director of Kubo and the Two Strings attached to it maybe it might turn out good. Remember I said maybe.

This movie has one good thing going for it: the director. I loved Kubo and the Two Strings. With that said the movie is still probably going to have Michael Bay's stink all over it.

I didn’t bother with the last two Transformer movies, and I’m not excited for this one, but I do think it has the potential to be a decent film. For the most part is seems they are going for a new feel to it, it has potential. The first trailer will be very important

I was extremely hyped for Last Knight, and got extremely disappointed. I have hopes for this, but they’re not too high.

Please don’t. Nobody can mention transformers anymore in public. They instantly think of the terrible movies, not the original 80’s.

@MrFurious93 - If Travis Knight can make an great film and Paramount follows suit with what Travis did, this could reedem the franchise to the eyes of the public.

i just watched the last knight recently for the first time. they do not even try with the visuals anymore. the animation of the robots was terrible. its disgraceful work.

MUTO123 - 11/11/2017, 11:44 PM
@grif - They don't try with ANYTHING in those movies anymore. There's shit in them that, if I was a director, I would be embarrassed to have in my movie.
