Will We See The Autobots Battling Nazis In TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT?

We already know that we'll be spending some time with King Arthur in Transformers: The Last Knight, but some new photos from the English set of the movie reveal that the Nazis will also have a presence.

Earlier this week, The Sun posted some photos from the set of Transformers: The Last Knight revealing that Michael Bay had transformed Winston Churchill's Blenheim Palace birthplace into a "Nazi HQ" for the upcoming movie. Needless to say, the tabloid did everything within their power to generate some controversy about that, and Michael Bay told BBC News the following about their recent claims.

"There's a thing I saw in the paper today about Blenheim and I just want to say people were not fortunate enough to read the script and they don't know that Churchill in this movie is a big hero. And Churchill would be smiling about last night." Asked if it was disrespectful to use a place so closely associated with Churchill to shoot scenes the tabloid describes as a "Nazi invasion,"
the filmmaker added: "Well, when you see the movie you'll understand and I'm for one, probably more than any director in the world, shot more veterans and more active military men and women in my movies. And you can actually look it up. Ok? I would do nothing to disrespect veterans."

Honestly, that's a fair point regardless of your thoughts on the franchise. More interesting is what Transformers: The Last Knight seems to be doing when it comes to playing with history. We already know that King Arthur will factor into the story somehow, and now the involvement of the Nazis points to a possible time travel adventure or World War II era Autobots and Decepticons coming into play (unless these are just straightforward flashbacks). Either way, this movie definitely looks...unique!

@PaleSkinDevil - Last half? I thought the whole movie was unbearable (must be my 80's-kid G1 bias kicking in).

If by unique you mean "somehow even dumber than usual", than I 100% agree with you!

Well this one must involve some sort of alternate reality or something.

Must be one hell of a crazy plot, it has King Arthur, Nazis, and giant robotic aliens that can transform into vehicles. Good grief.

So are fifth movies officially the point where you jump the shark? Because I just watched Ice Age 5 and if you think the other sequels were bad, this one had space travel, meteors, [frick]ing Shangri-La.

The tagline for these movies should just be "WE RAN OUT OF IDEAS!!!"

Can we just reboot these movies like with Smurfs or Spider-Man? Because when we got Smurfs 1 or Amazing Spider-Man, people paid to see them. But at a point, people were like "NO!!!"
and the sequels bombed. Now, they're getting reboots that stick closer to the source material...

So can we do that with Transformers, could be a live-action or animated reboot... Just saying.
