The first trailer for Hulu's new animated sci-fi comedy series Solar Opposites is now online, and if you're a Rick and Morty fan this looks like a must-watch.

The show focuses on four aliens as they attempt to fit in as a suburban family after crash-landing on Earth. Some hate their new surroundings, while others appear to be having a blast, but none of 'em seem to be very fond of birds.

Solar Opposites comes to us from the twisted mind of Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland and writing partner Mike McMahan, and features the voices of Silicon Valley’s Thomas Middleditch, The Goldbergs’ Sean Giambrone, comedian Mary Mack, and Roiland himself.

There are also a tonne of awesome guest-stars lined up:

Alan Tudyk, Alfred Molina, Amanda Leighton, Andrew Matarazzo, Andy Daly, Calum Worthy, Chris Cox, Christina Hendricks, Echo Kellum, Eric Bauza, Gary Anthony Williams, Gideon Adlon, Jacob Vargus, Jason Mantzoukas, Jeannie Elias, Jesse Mendel, Jon Barinholtz, Karan Brar, Kari Wahlgren, Ken Marino, Liam Cunningham, Maurice LaMarche, Miguel Sandoval, Nat Faxon, Natalie Morales, Neil Flynn, Phil LaMarr, Rainn Wilson, Rob Schrab, Ryan Ridley, Sagan McMahan, Thomas Barbusca, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Kenny, Vargus Mason, and Wendi McLendon-Covey.

Co-created by Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan (ex-writer’s assistant on Rick & Morty), Solar Opposites centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans and all their TV, junk food and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living super computer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth.

Meh. Looks like what American Dad! was to Family Guy. Same style, same humor, but less appealing characters.

Hmm, might give this a watch.

Seems like kind of a cartoon-y weird spin on 3rd Rock from the Sun.

the only thing going through my head while watching this was "I hope Justin didn't remove any funny gags or storylines from Rick and Morty to put into this instead"
