INVINCIBLE Exclusive: Battle Beast Voice Actor Isn't Looking To Reprise Or Play Any More DC Comics Characters

We recently spoke with Michael Dorn (Star Trek: TNG, Arrow) to help promote his brand new sci-fi film, Agent: Revelation, which was released yesterday digitally. Dorn was so excited that we could chat to him about a multitude of topics, and we had to ask about his upcoming role in this year's Invincible, which lands on Amazon this March.

Dorn is voicing Battle Beast, and it turns out that he actually recorded his dialogue for the character a long time ago. However, he no longer has any interest in voicing characters from the DC universe.

Although Invincible is an Image comic property, it's interesting that he would say that, as he has voiced numerous characters in the DC Universe, lending his talents to Arrow, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Lego DC Super-Villains, Justice League Action, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Static Shock, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, and more.

With Dorn having voiced so many DC characters, it was surprising to us that he said he was no longer interested in doing so, and he explained in detail why that is - although he knows fans will see it as "sacrilegious."

"The thing that you do, with voiceovers, is you go in as a clean slate because I've got to say a lot of times, I'd say 90% of the time the producers change their mind in the session. And so if you've got something planned and you're doing a certain thing, it usually doesn't work out. I mean, they like it some, but they go, 'Nah, do it like this and do it like that.' And so I basically go in as Michael Dorn, and they take it from there.

I do a bit of voice work. With Invincible, I did that a long time ago. I know this is sacrilegious, but the DC universe, I mean, there was a trailer for a movie with all the characters. I think I saw 30 people running towards me, all superheroes, and I'm lost. I have no idea about that universe anymore. They had this trailer, and everybody was running towards the camera, with that look on their face, and I'm going, 'I don't know half these people. Who's that?' So you lose it after a while."

Hear all of this and more in the below, and be sure to leave your thoughts in the usual spot!
