PREACHER Adds 6 New Cast Members For Season 2 - Is One Of 'Em Playing The Villainous Herr Starr?

The second season of AMC's Preacher is well into production at this stage, but we've just got word on six new additions to the cast - one of whom might well be playing the twisted Herr Starr.

According to Deadline, Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones, Deep Water), Pip Torrens (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Crown), and Julie Ann Emery (Fargo, Better Call Saul) have been added to the cast as series regulars. Joining them will be Malcolm Barrett (War on Everyone, Dear White People), Ronald Guttman (Homeland, Mozart in the Jungle) and Justin Prentice (13 Reasons Why, Malibu Country) in recurring roles.

There's nothing about which characters they'll be playing, but my guess is Torrens will be Starr (yes, because he's bald), and Taylor might well be either Jody or TC - a couple of evil rednecks from Jesse's past. Tulip aside, there aren't many prominent female roles in Garth Ennis' comic, but could Emery be playing Amy, perhaps?

Be sure to speculate away in the usual place, and we'll update as soon as we know more. Preacher season 2 doesn't have a premiere date just yet.

am i the only one who was a little underwhelmed by the first season? I read all the comics and am a huge fan of them so I may have been a little bias. Really hoping the second season goes more directly to the comics, felt like a prequel season in many ways. Sucks because all along the way from hearing it was going to be made to when it released, never once thought I wouldnt absolutely love it. Had nothing but the highest hopes because it may be one of the most enjoyable comic series I have/will ever read

The first season was meh, but I'll give the second season a chance since it's based on the actual books. I never read the books, but I heard good things about it.
