PREACHER Season 2 Gets A Summer Premiere Date; First Look Photos Tease A Bloody Fun Road Trip
Following those casting announcements, AMC has officially revealed the premiere date for the hotly awaited second season of Preacher. They've also released the first batch of stills! Come take a look!
Jesse Custer, Tulip O'Hare, and Cassidy are nearly ready for their second go-round as AMC officially announced yesterday that the second season of their hit series Preacher will debut on Monday, June 19, at 9 PM EST.
The biggest takeaway from this announcement is that the show will be making the move to Monday night, after previously airing on Sundays, which should bode well for its future as it will no longer have to faceoff against HBO's epic fantasy series Game of Thrones.
Last season ended with our heroes heading out on the road, leaving the recently obliterated Annville, Texas in their rear-view mirror, and while this season's plot has been kept under wraps for the most part, it's expected to continue that journey. It will also introduce a number of new faces, including the Man in White, a.k.a. Herr Starr, which means plenty of trouble lies ahead for Jesse and company.

Preacher is the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse embarks on a journey to, literally, find God, joined by his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun).
