Seth Rogen's Latest PREACHER Teases (Almost) Give Us A Look At Dominic Cooper As 'Jesse Custer'

Seth Rogen (The Green Hornet) continues to post teasing production stills from the set of AMC's small screen take on controversial DC Vertigo comic, Preacher. One of the pics features Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter) as the Reverend Jesse Custer... from the collar down!

Aside from that first pic of Jesse chatting with Arseface, Seth Rogen hasn't really posted anything too revealing from the set of AMC's Preacher, but there are still a few interesting images popping up on the actor's Twitter feed from time to time. Below you can see the devastation caused from a downed helicopter, Jesse Custer's favourite brand of cigarettes (though his "[frick] Communism" lighter is absent), and a teasing shot of the good Reverend himself. Hopefully as filming continues we'll begin to get some better snaps, and maybe a first look at Joe Gilgun as Cassidy.

Preacher stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip O'Hare, Joe Gilgun as Cassidy, Ian Colletti as Arseface, Lucy Griffiths as Emily Woodrow, Elizabeth Perkins as Vyla Quinncannon and Jamie Anne Allman and Derek Wilson as Betsy and Donny Schenck. We still don't know who'll play the Saint Of Killers, but he's definitely in the show....right?

I have all of the Preacher series in trade paperbacks and LOVE it!

I am a little disappointed with the casting, Dominic Cooper isn't a charismatic enough actor in my view,

ah well.

@Jollem agreed. I guess I just don't want it to become silly. It's a fine line when you have a character like Arse Face. I'm hoping for a tone similar to Guy Richie's Lock Stock, or Snatch. It will be interesting if it keeps the British Influence or becomes a bit more Americanized.

I Have read it. its juvenile. jokes about gay rape, inbred retarded people, bestiality, obesity, bulimia, failed suicide.
It's a great story, but the jokes are cheap.
and the ending sucks.

Opinions are like asshole, everyone's got one.

Its fine if you don't agree with mine.

@seamuskeaneart Well me and my asshole disagree with yours. While there is a lot of vulgar humor in everything Garth Enis does, and thumbs his nose at the mainstream comic book community. There is most certainly more that cheap jokes.

My brother had a "[frick] Communism" zippo made for me before I went back to Iraq. Still one of my favorite things from my favorite comic.

How can anybody be excited for this, after Seth ruined the Green Hornet. He should never be allowed to touch another comic property after that crap.
