Tom Brooke Joins The Cast Of AMC's PREACHER As A Series Regular

Looks like the main cast of AMC's upcoming Preacher pilot just got a little bigger. British talent Tom Brooke has nabbed a series regular role on the show as 'Fiore', one of two Adelphi angels tasked with watching the half-demon, half-angelic creature named 'Genesis'. The show, currently being developed for TV by This Is The End duo Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg, is based on Garth Ennis & Steve Dillion's 90s comic book series of the same name.

Brooke joins a cast that so far includes Agent Carter's Dominic Cooper in the lead as 'Jesse Custer', Ruth Negga (Agents Of SHIELD) as his ex 'Tulip' and Joseph Gilgun (Misfits) as an Irish vampire named 'Cassidy'. A relative unknown, Brooke may seem familiar to Game Of Thrones fans, having portrayed one of Walder Frey's spawn back in Season 3. He has also guest starred on Sherlock, and in British comedy, The Boat That Rocked.

What do you think of Brooke's casting as Fiore? Are you excited for AMC's Preacher adaptation (currently due for release in 2016)? Sound off with your thoughts below!

I was really bummed when Lucy Griffith was out from Constantine. Probably she brings the good luck to Preacher.

So we're not going to your parents' cabin this weekend? The girls at the office were right about you! My meds have me thinking I'm in a relationship with random people on the internet!

Another character who wasn't a regular in the comics, wonderful.

I said REGULAR character, REGULAR. I've read all the comics several times he was a minor character at best. If done accurately (which I doubt is happening) MOST of the characters outside Jessie, Tulip, and Cassidy shouldn't be around very long, OR very often.

@BeyondTheGrave... who else are you looking forward to seeing cast then? If only Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy are the only REGULAR characters? They already cast those roles.. so as per what you said each announcement from here on in will just be non regulars... right?

@toasterfetus

YES and that's how it should be, that's how the comic was and I don't think the show taking any 'liberties' with the material will improve anything.

You miss my point. You originally said "Another character who wasn't a regular in the comics, wonderful."... in a sarcastic way, yeah? Well.. if the only three REGULAR characters have already been cast... then every.single.casting.announcment from here on in will have no choice but to be non regulars. So why was your original comment coming off as bummed that you weren't getting more series regulars... when, as per you, they've all already been cast.

I just hope he quits making up new characters. There's a ton .. (is semi-regulars okay with you?) out there in the original story. I fear the toning down for TV will rustle my jimmies too fair of an amount.

I don't want added characters and I don't want series regulars that don't belong simple as that. There are characters that appear periodically but only 3 regulars for the most part. As for who else I'm looking forward to seeing IF I had any faith this could be pulled off on public cable by Seth Rogen of all people (which I don't think it can). It would be one Saint 'O Killers.
