Check Out The Opening Scene Of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD

"Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and our dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories."

Fear The Walking Dead premieres August 23.

I hope they write a comicbook based off the Fear The Walking Dead show and then precede to not follow the source material from show to comic.

Boy o' boy... it's been 12 years and people are still picking at the bones of 28 days later. This feels like a shot for shot remake of the church scene with a little sexy blonde zombie thrown in at the end.

This show looks even more derivative that the main title.

@Brainiac13 Looks like the UK's getting the shaft, unless you have BT Youview and BT broadband... Or you can wait till next year for it to be streamed on Amazon.

Full quote from Geek Town:

"Companion show to the main Walking Dead series, this time set in LA. Coming to new channel AMC Global, which it looks like is a multi-year carriage deal with BT… So, you can get it on BT’s YouView (if you have BT Broadband… although it’ll make watching it hard with it stuttering and crashing all the time) or IF you have the £20 a month BT Sport package on Sky, you have AMC Global thrown in with it for ‘free’. But it won’t be in HD on Sky. It will also be streamed onto Amazon Prime at some point in 2016 if you’re happy to wait a little while!"

Its the same show with different characters. We'll get to know the characters, but the same people write and direct the show. I see no reason why this won't be as successful, in fact I'd bet that it is.
