Lucifer stars Tom Ellis (Rush) in the title role, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. Co-starring alongside Ellis are Lauren German (Chicago Fire) as Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer; Lesley-Ann Brandt (Spartacus) as Lucifer’s best friend Maze, a fierce demon who takes the form of a human woman; Nicholas Gonzalez (Sleepy Hollow) as Dan, an LAPD homicide detective wary of Lucifer; D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, an angel sent to L.A. to persuade Lucifer to return to hell; and Rachael Harris as Linda, Lucifer’s therapist.

The main focus of Fear The Walking Dead will be Kim Dickins' guidance counsellor Madison, and Cliff Curtis as divorced teacher Travis. The first six-episode season is set to air sometime this Summer with a second expected to follow in 2016. Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey will also star, with Adam Davidson (Friday Night Lights, Fringe) directing the pilot. Robert Kirkman has confirmed that the series will start out as a prequel and deal with events leading up to the outbreak, but will eventually catch up to the current timeline of The Walking Dead.

I hope FEAR stays in the outbreak stage for a long time. I don't just want a Walking Dead clone.

Lucifer's therapist: so what you're saying is that all your issues go back to your hate for your father after he kicked you out?

Lucifer: ....why did I agree to this?

Do spinoffs of terrible shows usually fail?

@MrShow Better Call Saul, Fraiser, CSI, NCIS, etc. A lot surpass their originals in some cases. But yes, most are absolute shit.

Also, the million Star Trek series'.

@TheGambitFreak I'm assuming you misread my post, because Breaking Bad and Cheers aren't terrible shows. All the CSI, original and spinoffs, are garbage though. Enterprise was the only crap Star Trek spinoff and I'd argue Deep Space 9 was the best.

It's a sign of the times with a lot of great shows that Lucifer does not sound exciting at all. Who knows tho.
