Prepare For THE WALKING DEAD's 100th Episode With This New Featurette And Banner

The Walking Dead premiered all the way back in 2010 and when it returns this fall, it will be for its 100th episode. That's a crazy thought and if the comic book is any indication, this 100th instalment is going to feature some major twists and turns (and possibly even the odd character death or two).

To celebrate this milestone, AMC has released a new video featuring interviews with the cast as they thank fans for their support and look ahead to what comes next. There's also a banner showing just how much the show has changed over the years and it just so happens to also tease the upcoming war between the survivors. It's pretty clear at this point that season eight is going to be downright epic.

In fact, it's reportedly going to be the most action-packed season yet and that's something the series could do with when it features so many slower paced instalments. Are you excited about The Walking Dead's return? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

@jerryblake - Thank you for taking time out of what must be an extremely busy schedule you have to come to a thread about a show you don't watch to let us know you don't watch it

Please finish all out war by the mid season finale. The last season was honestly one of the worst seasons of a television show. I never fast forwarded through a show so much.

@Jaspion - Im the biggest WD defender... and even I am needing something to give this show a shot in the arm. My hype is the lowest its ever been for a new season.

@Kman - Same here. I think I wouldn't even care if they killed Daryl now.
This could very well be the last season for me and I'd be satisfied.

@Jaspion - if @Rulk were still here he'd be shocked to see me say this... we used to battle it out on WD articles lol

I hope this season turns it around, becouse like many it's getting old to me. If this season is boreing than it might be my last and this is coming from a guy that's been watching since night one. I hope gimple has learned that people don't mind a slow episode here and their, but not a whole season of them.

One thing about this show I really love... they will recreate entire panels from the comic almost scene for scene/word for word. Was thrilled when Negan cut out Spencers guts and proclaimed "Well I was wrong... you do have guts after all!"

The show was at its best season 1, 2, and first half of 3. It was just SO good back in the day.

@Kioses - I gotta disagree wholeheartedly. It only started getting good at like halfway through season 2.

On the recommendation of my best friend with whom I used to watch TWD with a bunch of other folks before I quit the show I checked out a few episodes of last season, because he thought I'd like King Tiger-Guy. And yeah, King Tiger-Guy was pretty awesome!

If the show was mostly about him and the story actually going somewhere I might watch it again. Well, the "Story actually going somewhere" part alone might already help.

Why should it surprise that a lot of people found the last Walking Dead season boring? Generation of low attention spans.
