Last month MTV visited the set of AMC's The Walking Dead in Atlanta, GA. Take a look behind the scenes and see the zombies in full mode for the very first time!

"We have blocks of Atlanta shut down here, and there's a tank behind me if you can't see it," said comic book creator Robert Kirkman. "Just the scale of everything... Everything is being done exactly the way I would've wanted it, and it's better than I could have ever envisioned it. The whole thing is just amazing."

Kirkman actually said "It's better than I could have ever envisioned it". WOW! HOLY SHIT if that doesn't paint a picture I don't know what does. Coming from the writer/creator, that is the ULTIMATE complement!!!!

I'm sure this will be awesome and everything, but if the creator/writer of a book/comic is directly involved with its adaptation in some way, they will ALWAYS talk it up, so I would read too much into Kirkman's endorsement, but like I said, in this instance it does look great anyway!
