During The Walking Dead panel at the New York Comic-Con last night, executive producer and creator Robert Kirkman revealed that we're finally getting a crossover between The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead. For years, we've been told that it wouldn't happen but something has clearly changed.

"There are two Walking Dead shows. One character is going to go from one show that I will not name and appear on another show that I will not name," Kirkman confirmed before the teaser image below was released. Considering the fact that Fear The Walking Dead struggles in terms of ratings, chances are we're going to see a familiar face show up on that as opposed to the other way around.

Also below is a clip from The Walking Dead's season eight premiere which sees Carl Grimes cross paths with a stranger. Can she be trusted? We're going to find out when the show returns on October 22nd.

I havent watched the last season of the walking dead, but the rest was kinda boring
Kurne

Both shows are shit, but The Walking Dead is lazy shit while Fear is unintentionally shit.

@Kurne - 1st half of Fear was better than expected (especially compared to WD's 2nd half farse), sadly the 2nd half of Fear has been crap. WD has been on a swift downward spiral after Glen's beating.
WADEZILLA13
WADEZILLA13 - 10/8/2017, 7:22 AM
@Facade - I feel the exact opposite; I thought Fear started slow but has developed into an excellent show (especially the current season), while Season 7 of WD was the best yet.
WADEZILLA13

@Kurne - That's your opinion; mine differs drastically.

@WADEZILLA13 - I was speaking (specifically) to this season of Fear and last season of WD. Both shows aren't as good as they could be. WD has declined since Judith's survival and last season was laughable (after Glenn). Fear doesn't have a single likeable character (no one unlikeable, like Negan, either); it's been just ridiculous as of late.

Walking Dead has to many characters, they really need to start killing more off, and not just introduce a character so they can be killed in a few episodes like Noah.

any idea how much time has passed in the show, season 2 picked up a few days or weeks after season 1, season 3 picked up a few weeks after season 2, then there was a big time just after season 3, now every season has pretty much been picking up where the last one left off, how long has it been since the prison was destroyed

@dracula - I believe the whole series has taken place over a bit under 2 years. Season 1 and 2 were within the same time, season 3 is about 8 or so months later, and season 4 is another 6 or 7 months later. Seasons 5 is right after 4, 6 right after 5 and so on.

I know it's ratings have dropped a lot since season 1 but isn't Fear still like cable's number 2 viewed show ahead of things like Better Call Saul and Preacher?

FTWD has been running on all cylinders lately. It's a completely different atmosphere than TWD & it's refreshing.

As a weekly watcher of both, I'm really looking forward to this.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone deceased from TWD shows up on Fear, just so fans can have that character ome more time... but whooooo....?

@SKetCH - my vote is for Herschel

@xfan320 -
The actor would be good to see, but we know Herschel never left his farm, which is just outside Atlanta, believe.
The FTWD cast is geographically nowhere close.

@SKetCH - If a character appeared of FTWD, I would guess maybe Abe.

@xfan320 - Herschel was decapitated lol
SKetCH

@BlackConvoy -
That's honestly my biggest hope & it makes the most sense.
Again, if I'm not mistaken, he was on the move quite a bit before his trio met up with the group.

Abe would be perfect in this brutal world FTWD has crafted.
As long as it's not Glenn. Love his character, I just think it would cheap.

@GhostSurfer -
Yes, he was, but FTWD fully takes place before TWD.
So, chronologically speaking, it's a possibility.

Strand would be an interesting character to make his way to Virginia and interact with Rick.

My gut says that the crossover will be the Hispanic family that broke off from Rick's group
during season one claiming they were going to meet up with family. What if the "family" they are
talking about were in California? The timeline for FTWD has pretty much caught up to season one
of TWD. That means sometime next season, that family could make it back to California after
some crazy cross-country trek similar to the one Abraham's group did making their way from
Texas to Georgia.

Maybe they fell in with survivors going west due to stores that the outbreak didn't get over the Rockies
and the West Coast is safe.

They'll tell Negan's backstory on FTWD.

@BrotherRob - I'm betting he's the ringleader at the stadium.

@Facade - Negan was a used car salesman-coach-teacher in Virginia when the outbreak happened.

@peopacolypse - it's not as if they haven't changed things up already.

They should introduce Magna's group in FTWD and then use it in TWD.
String

Not too hard to figure out this won't be a major crossover the way the press is making it out to be. My guess is that it will be Morales & his family from TWD season 1. FTWD is roughly at the point when Rick Grimes is awake from his coma & dealing with the Atlanta survivors from season 1. Morales left the group before the end of season 1. Those characters are Hispanic. FTWD is majorly set along the US/Mexico border w/Hispanic characters. Makes sense Morales would be moving west with his family towards the Mexico border.
