From its start back in 2010, The Walking Dead tv series has certainly seen it's fair share of cast members die in a variety of ways (mostly by zombie dismembement). Lori, Shane, Meryl, Sophia, Hershel and T-Dogg are but a few of the fan favorites that audiences have said goodbye to over the AMC zombie show's 4 seasons. Saying goodbye is also something of a traumatic ordeal for the cast and crew; when a certain cast members' time is up, filming their final scene has been known to illicit a lot of tears and hugs on the set. So how does it feel to be Robert Kirkman? Probably the one person on the show who knows exactly when everyone of the characters is going to die. Said Kirkman to Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM channel, "I got a pretty good idea when all of them are dying. [And] to a certain extent, if we follow the comic, [I know] possibly even more [deaths] than [showrunner] Scott [Gimple] knows. So I’m always like [points around to imaginary Walking Dead cast]…'two years, three years, six months, two weeks, oh, God this is awful'! It’s really rough. Doing the comic, it was fine because it was just lines on a paper. Whatever. We’re killing that guy. Cool. But the show, it sucks because we all work together, we hang out, and have a great time. But, you know, the story’s gotta get done and people gots to die, as I like to say. It’s pretty rough.”
The Walking Dead season 5 will premiere Sunday, October 12 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC.
