I loved the first season of AMC's The Walking Dead. I've never read the comics, but I would say that the show has something different from what we can see on TV these days. While many will think just because there are zombies, it is another story that we have seen in movies dozens of times, it's actually not, there is a lot more going on in the show, starting with characters. It's sort of like Fringe, which has science fiction elements, but there is so much to that story and interesting characters, and because of that, it is one my favorite shows on TV. Two days ago, Season 2 of The Walking Dead premiered, breaking the record in basic cable history (7.3 million total viewers). Basically, a lot of people still watch the show. I thought the first episode was really good. It starts little slow, but it sets everything for this season. So, what did you think of it? Vote below:

Second episode of The Walking Dead Season 2 will air on October 23.

It was pretty good, the beginning was cool, so was the ending, the whole search for Sophie was a little bit too slow, but the episode was pretty damn good, I will see If I try to come up with a review this week

I want to like this show so I'm not left out, but almost every episode I've seen has bored me.

Annoying characters, = The women, all of them and shane.

poor scripting = Ricks two-way talk at the start..who talks like that outside of comic books? ..and over a two way? Ricks chat with jesus..come on..ugh

illogical character behaviour = draw the zombies away from the girl, then later just kill them outright...Ricks an idiot.

poor editing = no one noticed the zombies until they got 50 metres away? bulllllshit.

The shows only redeeming feature is the zombie fx. The rest is woeful.

m73 - I agree. I thought the speeches were all way too long and out of character. I'm hoping episode 2 is better.

I agree, except with the "herd" part. Although it was a questionable edit job, they were trying to emphasize how quickly a gripload of zombies can just appear and swarm. They did this in the comic too, a little differently, but it's naturally easier on paper.

7/10... Can't wait for the next ep!

I agree. Sometimes, less talking is better. More tension, less verbage. More death, less yakking. Gooo action!!! heh

@M73 @Gambit89 @Grandizer74: first of all, Rick's opening Monologue wasn't to God. it was to Morgan Jones from episode 1 that he left in that house with his son Duane. go back and rewatch it he says "take care of Duane."
