EzioKenway1225, do yourself a favor and skip 'Forest of the Night'.

Forest of the night was okay, one of the weakest ep's this season though.

Yeah Capaldi owns at Dr Who, brings back the classic feel too!

Capaldi is great as the doctor, but they reveal missys identity in part 1. And i'll just say, its very predictable. *Sigh* this season has been so disappointing.

I almost dropped watching this season after Forest episode. That was too weak for a DW story. It felt very lazy. And despite the interesting predicament in this weekend's episode I still can't manage to care one way or the other what happens to Danny. Not even after he died.

That and the whole Keys scene was exhaustively stupid. Uggh. So the Doctor has been opening his Tardis with the snap of his fingers for nearly half a decade and suddenly I'm supposed to care if his keys get destroyed???

The best scene this entire season was when Clara snaps at the Doctor for the what he did during the Moon episode. That felt real. That was a moment that I actually cared. There used to be many moments that I could care. But this season... those moments have been rare.

Love Capaldi's doctor. And Missy's reveal, though predictable, was [frick]ing awesome nonetheless. That look the doctor gives when she says her real name...oh man!

After finding out last year that his homeworld is still out there somewhere, Capaldi's Doctor hasn't once attempted to follow up on the fate of his entire race.

@NerdMan- I haven't even been annoyed by Danny's character. I just can't find any opening for me to evoke any kind of emotion for him at all.

I agree about the dynamic between the doctor and Clara. It's not as good as it should be. My theory is this: I think he has his current face because it's a sign to go back to Pompeii. The companion at the time was Donna Noble.

Now can you imagine the dynamic between those two! It would off the freaking scale!! DONNA NOBLE FOR THE NEXT COMPANION. It could be his face that restores her memory without harming her. (For those not in the know, Peter Capaldi was in the Pompeii episode as a roman citizen that the then Doctor, David Tennant, rescued at Donna's insistence! )

MAKE IT SO MOFFATT!!!

@Gruff- Donna Noble was one of my all time favorite companions. I almost cried the way she had to go. Reminds me of when Jaimie was sent back in time and all but his first adventure with the third Doctor were erased from his mind. That was painful. He was the longest running companion on the show. 116 episodes and gone-back to his own time-all character development totally erased. :C

@ScionStorm I didn't know about Jamie. That sounds awful. The Brits were way ahead of their time in sci-fi storytelling.

I have a bad feeling they are setting Clara up to have been the Master all along.

@Gruff Just realized I wrote third doctor when I meant second.

But yeah, they were buddies. The 18th century highlander may not have been the brightest bulb but he was always a source of common sense when the others were to busy patting themselves on the back for being clever.

Jamie, Zoe, and the Doctor became this interesting relationship where Jaime adopted the big brother role to Zoe, the brainy little sister, while the Doctor became like their crazy uncle.

And neither character were from the contemporary time period. I think the show needs to do that again. Whatever companions come next, they need to not be from this contemporary time period.

@ScionStorm, I think the reason the Doctor has not been looking for Gallifrey is because he has regenerated, after a regeneration the Doctors mind is a jumble and things must be pieced back together, just like in this last episode he kept saying he's missing something; in the back of his mind he knew cyber men were a foot. Also, I think when he remembers, that is when he goes back and helps all the other Doctors in Day of the Doctor and from there he will search for Gallifrey.... or he has been searching off camera.... Anyway I agree with everyone that Clara and this Doctor do not mix, nor does Danny Pink...time for a new companion and yeah i guessed who Missy was from the start...
