DOCTOR WHO Wraps Shooting Next Season As New Look At Ncuti Gatwa As The Fifteenth Doctor Is Revealed

Doctor Who season 14 has finally wrapped shooting ahead of the show's move to Disney+, and with that comes a fun new look at Ncuti Gatwa's (Barbie) incredibly stylish Fifteenth Doctor. Check it out...

BBC has shared another new look at Doctor Who's Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor (via SFFGazette.com), and the Sex Education star promises to be the most stylish version of this time-traveller to date.

This iteration definitely stands out from his predecessors, and other officially released photos have depicted him in the Swinging Sixties and in Regency-era attire.

Returning showrunner Russell T Davies has also shared a behind-the-scenes photo from Doctor Who's set, confirming "That's a wrap!" on the upcoming fourteenth season. Filming kicked off last December, and we've previously heard the plan is to jump straight into season 15 (as a UK-based production with British actors, the SAG-AFTRA strike is unlikely to come into play).

A trailer probably isn't around the corner just yet, though Gatwa is expected to debut as the new Doctor a matter of months from now.

Everything we've seen from Davies' return to the franchise suggests the beloved show has been given a fresh lick of paint, and casting Hollywood stars like Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris is sure to increase interest.

With the show set to find a home on Disney+ outside of the UK, Doctor Who will soon have its biggest audience ever. What's said to be a significant budget increase should help it feel more in line with The Mandalorian and Star Trek: Discovery, for example, and the next couple of years should be exciting for new and old fans alike.

Doctor Who returns this November with three special episodes starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary. Ncuti Gatwa's first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will then air over the holidays as we head into 2024.

Check out these newly revealed photos from the long-running sci-fi series below.

@TheVisionary25 - Well he said he was going for that Pertwee look as he was his favorite dresser of all the Doctors, so you are right on point. Supposedly he will be sporting different outfits throughout his run, so it won't be just one static look. We shall see.

This is the one show that can reinvent the wheel over and over with success. There's only been a few hiccups in what 50 years? Crazy good

He absolutely rocks the look!
Can't wait for his performance, he was super likable in Sex Education and has some serious acting chops in both comedy and drama.
Plus with RTD back at the helm I see a positive turnaround.

Just sad we probably won't see John Barrowman given that drama about the sexual harrasment

Every time I see a black actor take a role that’s historically been done by a white actor I know the “woke” complaints are going to come out of the sewer again.

@soleavenger -

Yup. Even if the story narrative allows there to be recasting and switching out the character they will still spew out Nazi talking points.

Remember, whites being replaced is a Nazi talking points that has been used by them for decades. 🤡

@AmazingFILMporg - What if the show just sucks? Capaldi's run went off a cliff and he's whiter than snow.
