Thus launches the "Buffy" Season 9 spin-off..."Spike". This is a five issue miniseries from Dark Horse Comics, written by Victor Gischler and pencilled by Paul Lee. Entertainment Weekly (EW) have provided us "sneak peek" of how Spike separates himself from Buffy, how he copes with "a dark place" that the forbidden love has driven him to, and the disgruntled cockroaches that have been his loyal followers thus far. (No, I'm not making this up)
Despite the giant cockroaches "The focus is on Spike and his coming to terms with some things, sort of getting right in the head," says Gischler. "He loves Buffy, but can’t be with her. What does that mean to a vampire with a soul?"
