ARROW Predictions (SPOILERS)

ARROW Predictions (SPOILERS)

A few predictions/theories I have for Arrow and all related things.

Some of the events over the past few episodes have left me with a few ideas as to where theyre heading.

1. Roy will suit up by the end of the Season
Pretty obvious, but he'll become either Arsenal or Red Arrow.

2. Ra's al Ghul won't appear, at least this season
I think Nyssa will be the worst the League sends after Sara for now. As for why Ra's would bother with Starling City in the future, I have a few theories
a. Oliver kills Nyssa, and Ra's seeks vengence
b. Oliver defeats Nyssa, who tells her father of the Arrow's impressive skills. Ra's then seeks Oliver as an heir (similar to his history with Batman)
c. He seeks to kill Malcom, and kidnaps Thea, forcing team Arrow to get involved.

3. Slade will be apprehended and recruited by Waller
(Self-Explanatory)

Ok, now some far fetched ideas

4. Sarah is going to be Black Canary
The way they wrote her story so far, I believe this is possible. First, there's the fact she wasn't just sleeping with Oliver, she told her mom she loved him. Next, she said a few episodes ago that Laurel dated Ollie so Sarah couldn't. Also, she says Love is the strongest emotion, hinting Ollie jumped in front of the gun out of love for Sarah (though I disagree, I feel at that point in his development he would've saved either). So, assuming next episode doesn't make her a lesbian, I think something big happens between her and Ollie.

5. Suicide Squad announcement at SDCC
Either a movie, show, or something in between. They threw it into last night for a reason. As for members, we have Bronze Tiger confirmed. I say Slade, Deadshot, and China White will all be in it, mainly because theyre the only living villains, and Merlin aint working for anybody.

6. MoS connection
Arrow is arguably DC's biggest hit that isnt Batman or Superman related. It'd be crazy not to connect the two. Its no secret that Arrow has been beating Agents of SHIELD in ratings (coming from someone who actually likes both shows). DC could bring in a larger audience by doing this. I know that some of you hate the acting, but the only actors that need to appear are Amell, Haynes, and Bennett, which are all good in my opinion (get Emily Rickards in there too).

Think of it this way. Would DC waste an A-list character on a TV show? Not Arrow, I'm talking about Flash. Arguably more popular than Green Arrow, he is a founding member of Justice League as well. You might say Smallville, but that was before the shared universe thing was a big deal.

Ok I'm done for now. Sound off below!

Ok. While I agree with most of your opinions, there are a few I have to disagree with. For example, I have a feeling that Sarah might be killed off and Laurel (once she's done with her recovery and has some training with Ollie/Arrow) might take up the mantel. Also, I think the Suicide Squad might be have a appearance on Arrow rather than having a movie. Now my biggest iffy, the MOS connection.

I know this is the biggest hit for WB/DC to have not Batman or Superman-related, but it's kinda too late to put this the MOS universe. I mean, they should made a mention as early as the Season 2 opener. My theory is that they (WB) were going to connect it (and I think this is the reason why they had Flash) but considering that the ratings for S.H.I.E.L.D have been mixed and considering that the writers themselves would be restrained, WB decided not to risk it.

But, I like your predictions. Also, just curious but shouldn't this be in editorials?

I think these actors can hold their own in a movie! Manu bennett, kelly hu, Michael jai white...they all are maybe unable to carry a movie single handedly but suicide squad is a low budget movie and will almost be like dark version of expendables...so we all know, here individual performance won't matter that much but the storyline and execution!

I really don't think DC/WB will merge the TV and Film universes. One thing to remember is that Marvel is able to do it because Marvel has it's own film company. They have one group of decision makers that allow a unified film/television universe from the beginning.

Not saying it isn't possible but considering Warner Brothers track record so far, they do not like taking risks and including Stephen Amell as Green Arrow in a DC Film is a risk. While Arrow is doing well, there are still plenty of people who don't like it. DC will continue to rely on star power. Amell is a fine actor but not good enough for a movie.

Right!

Why would Oliver ill Nyssa? He's sworn not to kill ever again? I used to want it to be connected to the DCCU, but i'd rather see it as its on thing. They're branching out very far in to the DC universe and I don't want to limit Hollywood's directors by making them have to follow the outline laid by Arrow. I would love to see a Suicide Squad show. And didn't Amanda Waller appear talking to Deadshot too?

I really hope laurel doesn't become black canary...
It should be Sarah at this point, she already has the training background from the island. Laurel doesn't.

people shouldn't assume that you can get all those fighting skills and tactics in a year or two. that type of stuff takes time.

Slade too powerful and dangerous to be even captured by Waller.

Ummm, dude, Sara already is Black Canary. Have you been living under a rock this whole time?

Based on how the last episode ended, I think Sara's going to start training Laurel as a way of helping her kick her drug/alcohol problem and teaching her to take control of her life. Then at some point, possibly by the end of this season, Sara will be killed, and Laurel will take her place as the new Black Canary.

As for a DCCU connection: I hope not. I'm really enjoying Arrow so far, and I love Man of Steel, but I'd rather the two remain separate. They don't seem like they'd fit together very well, seeing as they were created as separate continuities. So far, the superpowers in Arrow have all been man-made - the Mirakuru formula (Slade, Roy, Grundy, etc.) and the particle accelerator (Barry), but I couldn't imagine a god-like alien such as Superman fitting into that universe. And, frankly, I don't know whether the cast of Arrow could hold their own against the DCCU cast. I mean sure, sometimes working with more experienced actors brings out the best in newer actors, but sometimes it makes their flaws even more evident, and the acting on Arrow does get quite shaky at times.
