David Mazouz Discusses How He'd Include A Young Clark Kent On GOTHAM

Gotham already has its hands full introducing important characters from the Batman mythos, so could Superboy ever make it into the mix? Actor David Mazouz has an idea for how to do it...

Gotham season 3 is set to continue its own take on the Batman universe, setting up introductions to the Court of Owls, the Mad Hatter, and a newly-reborn Poison Ivy, among others. With all this expansion happening, one would think there wouldn't be time for any characters outside of the Batman lore. Well, as it turns out, actor David Mazouz, who plays the young Bruce Wayne on Gotham, has his own ideas of what he'd like to see.

"I think it'd be really cool to have a young Clark Kent on the show," the actor said in an interview with IGN. "To have a 15-year-old Clark Kent. I know in Batman v Superman they played it like Metropolis and Gotham are twin cities, so it wouldn't be that hard to take a boat ride over for Clark..." While there haven't been any overt references to the location of Metropolis in this universe, there's nothing saying the producers couldn't take a page out of the DCEU by having them be in close proximity to one another.

As for how the show could start referencing a young Superboy, Mazouz had an idea. "You know, Clark Kent as a teenager saves a busload of kids from drowning, right?" he said. "It would just be really cool to just start a scene in the GCPD and just pan, like start on a newspaper that says, '15-Year-Old Boy in Metropolis Saves Busload of Kids From Drowning.' And then just pan up and have a regular scene that has nothing to do with the ... throw a little hint."

Would you ever want to see a young Bruce and Clark cross paths on Gotham? Sound off below!

Haven't seen this show for a while but having seen that new Season 3 trailer it seems to have taken an interesting turn.
Seems to have it's fans as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing a young Clark on the show. Wouldn't want to see him as a regular though. Wouldn't want his presence to take the spotlight away from Gordon and Bruce.

@SuperCat - I would really love that. Have them work together to uncover some plot involving Lex's father or something. Make the villains a proto version of Metallo or something.

Finally saw Suicide Squad, I enjoyed it, didn't have an issue with the music or editing.
I like films where a team is on a mission and this one worked for me, I wasn't bored during the movie like I was with BVS in the theatre.
Bit of a weak villain but the cast had good chemistry.
Best character for me was Diablo, probably the one with the most interesting story.
Solid 7.5/10 for me.

To be fair the only films that I disliked from Marvel & DC so far have been BVS theatre cut (taints the U.E. for me) and Thor 2. I do get Iron Man 2 and 3 confused but did enjoy bits of both that I remember.

Mr Mazouz wants to chill out a little. Overstuffing the show with villains made by Hugo strange is enough for the time being. Build on what you have instead of introducing more and more and having nothing but squandered potential.

I've heard we're getting Croc, Grundy, Harley, Talon, a proper Azrael etc in the new season I wonder how many of them Hugo Strange has made? xD

The only thing right now I personally want from this show is Azrael and Jerome. But alas, I will continue to watch as no matter how many little things niggle at me its a fairly enjoyable watch.

Not a bad idea, nothing wrong with a little nod in Supes' direction.

BTW @NateBest the site keeps redirecting me to one of those bullshit "win an iPhone" pages when I'm looking on my iPhone. Giving me the [frick]ing shits! Anyone else having the problem?

@Tasmaniac - can you send me a screenshot or the URL it redirects you to? I can then send it over to the advertisers to block it.

A good way to introduce Clark and Smallville is to address the meteor shower (that brought KalEl to Earth, if they go the Smallville route). Have it like a big media thing and The Wayne's helping the town of Smallville, financially.

@slickrickdesigns - did anyone even pay attention to the fact their mothers had the same name BEFORE bvs?

now it's so [frick]ing well known, and so [frick]ing stupid.

@ALostCause - I've always known that both of their mother's names are one in the same. It was a little funny at first, but now it's getting cheesey & annoying as hell with all the MARTHA jokes.

WB granted the Batman TV rights to FOX as part of the Batman 66 deal. Fox should stop messing around and do a Batman series. But if they want to dance around Batman then they'll go to Batman Beyond after the Gotham debacle ends soon. I wonder how they would mess that up?
