FOX has released a brand new preview for the upcoming midseason premiere of their hit superhero prequel series Gotham featuring what may be our first look at Bruce Wayne taking the next step into becoming the sworn protector of his seemingly accursed city.

There's plenty of footage of Bruce in action, but there is also a possibility that the person we're seeing is not actually the real "Bruce" as the winter finale saw the Court of Owls put their Bruce clone out in the field. Other scenes we're teased with include Barnes escaping his prison and the Nygma embracing his inner Riddler.

Check out the new preview for episode fifteen, titled "How The Riddler Got His Name," below:

"How the Riddler Got His Name"

Nygma convinces himself that he doesn’t need Penguin to succeed and begins to introduce himself to Gotham as “The Riddler,” promptly snaring Bullock and Lucius in his mind games; Gordon learns troubling news about his father’s death ;and the Court of Owls reveals its next move.

Season Three will peel back the curtain on the infamous criminal organization known as the Court of The Owls. With the Indian Hill escapees on the loose, JIM GORDON must take matters into his own hands as a bounty hunter in Gotham. He makes it his mission to find HUGO STRANGE, the mastermind behind the horrifying Indian Hill experiments, and FISH MOONEY, one of Strange’s subjects. Meanwhile, GCPD Detective HARVEY BULLOCK and Captain NATHANIEL BARNES remain at the forefront of the fight against crime in the monster-ridden city. Also, BRUCE WAYNE, with the help of his trusted butler and mentor, ALFRED PENNYWORTH, and former Wayne Enterprises employee, LUCIUS FOX, discovers there are still more secrets to uncover regarding his parents’ murders.

Gotham features:
Ben McKenzie as James Gordon
Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock

I dropped this a few episodes into the second season.

Is the third one good?

@DavidGray - It started out great, got stale in the middle, and picked up when Jerome/Joker came back.

@KWilly - Ok cool.

I have mixed feelings on Jerome. I was loving him on season 2, definitely the best character in the show, but I felt like that was kind of a bad thing, if that makes any sense.

Then they killed him and I was like, wow, they killed their best character, that means they have more to offer... but I didn't see an improvement. Then again I didn't finish season 2, so maybe I'm missing out.

And now the brought him back, which I don't think was the original idea. So I guess they really didn't have a better story or character to offer.

@DavidGray - Well, I think their original plan was to only have him as the "inspiration to a future Joker" (which sounds dumb, cuz it is). But with all the positive feedback he was getting, and how great that actor is as Jerome, the Gotham writers made him officially the "young Joker to be."

Which imo was the best choice.
