Gordon and Bullock (Donal Logue) investigate a trail of clues left in a museum robbery, which, unbeknownst to them, were left by Nygma in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Gordon’s past comes back to haunt him when an anonymous person threatens to expose his hand in Galavan’s murder. Meanwhile, Penguin’s visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dahl (guest star Paul Reubens) and Bruce practices his street smarts in the all-new “Wrath of the Villains: Mad Grey Dawn” episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, March 21st on FOX.

damn i left after S1 went for a brake (as i recall). it wasn't the best show ever but it was interesting to see screenwriters having fun with Batman mythos.

I rarely comment on this site... but it needs to be said. Tonight's episode was an incredible moment in the Batman mythos.

I often groan at some of the less-than-stellar moments this show has, but tonight had my JAW ON THE FLOOR.

The scene in this episode where Bruce confronts Matches Malone is better than most any scene from any Batman movie ever. Period. I dare any of you to watch it and not feel the same way! I loved it!

@jpmuftak - this show is incredible and this episode was absolutely amazing. That scene with Matches and Bruce was powerful as hell.

Agreed, fantastic episode, wrapped up young Bruce's journey and now Batman begins. I can't wait to see him come back all grown up after a couple seasons if they go that route, and they should, or even better, they can show young Bruce traversing the world, going to exotic places to train and such, don't just keep him in Gotham the whole time

@jpmuftak -

One of, if not, thee worst episodes of this goofy-ass season. Those "mutants" had the absolute worst acting for any actors out of the entire series. Frakin hell, man.

@Luminus - I think those mutants were supposed to be goofy because they were inspired by TDKR. To each as own I guess.

You have to admit the scene with Matches was pretty powerful.

@FlyntCoal - I know they were a homage to TDKR, but it didn't work for me.

The Matches scene was tired for me. Matches is a Batman alias, not his parent's murderer. Where's Joe Chill? It's change for the sake of change and nothing more. I don't like that.

@Luminus - That's fine, man. Opinions and all. I thought it was awesome.

This show TRULY has it's moments and I think it actually is getting better with every episode. Bd wong, in particular is KILLING IT as Hugo Strange!!

I was sure Penguin was playing Strange but I guess even he broke under the "therapy." Very interested to see where the Riddler goes from here.

@JHowlett - I thought so too. But, no, the writers continue the downward spiral of his character. Season 1 Penguin would have faked that whole thing as part of his plan to escape, then found a way to setup Hugo and his ugly sidekick for arrest... or worse.

Reubens just can't stop being the Penguin's father. Nice tie in to the Burton film.
